Welcome to your practice.
To begin,
Find a comfortable place to be in your body,
Either seated or lying down.
You can sit in a chair or sit up on a cushion or a pillow.
Using the support of the earth to rest,
To find ease.
Shifting to help yourself settle into this moment.
Feel free to soften the eyes or close the eyes as you start to tune into the natural movement of your breath.
Feeling the rise and fall of the breath.
This gentle rhythm.
Notice the shape change of your body as you breathe in and out.
And then with an inner listening,
Ask yourself what brought you to your practice?
Why are you here?
What is your deepest intention?
Listen and sense what's arising,
What matters most to you.
We'll dedicate our time together to this intention,
So just breathe a little bit of love into your intention,
Like a seed you've planted for your practice.
And start to notice if there's anywhere in the body that you can let go or soften,
Finding a bit more ease here.
So noticing where you might be holding on or tightening.
As you breathe in,
We offer your gentle breath to those areas of the body,
Softening through the shoulders,
The neck.
Letting whatever's a little bit tight just float in awareness.
And slowly as you breathe slowly and smoothly.
And start to open your awareness to sound,
Sensing that you can listen without doing.
Letting sounds wash through you.
Listening to the sound of music.
The sound of your breath.
Listening to the space between sounds.
And the arising and disappearing of sound.
Not just with ears but entire awareness.
And with that same listening presence,
Listen to any sensations in the body that come with your breath.
Where do you feel sensations?
And listen just as they are.
Feeling these sensations from the inside out.
Feeling your aliveness,
The vibrations,
The current of energy flowing through you.
Feeling this circulation,
Feeling your whole body at once,
The energy body.
And then come back to your physical body,
Sensing anything in your outer body that is ready to let go right now.
Unhinging the jaw.
Smoothing out the eyebrows and the lips.
Listening to the sounds that are right here.
Feeling and sensing their vibrations.
Again that kind of washing through you of sound.
Notice any light or colors or shapes that come into your experience.
And the more that we deepen our sensitivity to this deeper listening.
Moving from outer sensation to the listening that happens within.
A listening beyond hearing,
A listening of feeling and sensing and receiving.
Connecting deeply to your truth.
Take a moment here to bring the hands to your heart space,
Palms together.
Bow your chin lengthening the back of your neck.
Bowing into your heart.
Taking a moment to thank yourself for showing up to your practice.
To listen.
To connect.
And to be with your inner truth.
With deep gratitude,
Namaste.
