Hi,
My name is Josh Schmidt,
And this is a whisper meditation for full relaxation and relief.
I'll ask that you find a comfortable space where you can be uninterrupted for the next few minutes.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and close your eyes and allow your body to begin to relax.
And you can notice the sounds of the space and what it feels like to be here now.
Noticing what it feels like to be in this body right now.
How we feel physically,
Mentally,
And even emotionally.
And know that however you feel in this moment,
However it is you feel up until now,
You can change.
And how would you like to change?
What would you like to experience a little bit more of just for today?
And whatever that is,
Allow yourself to feel that that's a possibility,
Even if it's not what you're experiencing in this exact moment.
Good.
Now allow your attention to move all the way down into your feet and ankles.
I wonder if you can notice which foot feels heavier.
And if you can feel a sense that your legs and feet can fully relax.
And as you bring your attention into the belly and into the back,
We can feel our breath gentle and soft.
Almost as if the body were breathing all on its own without any effort.
What would it feel like to relax your shoulders,
To relax your neck,
And the muscles of your face,
Your eyes,
Your jaw?
What would it feel like to allow your whole body to feel supported by the chair or the floor underneath of you?
And what does it feel like to know that you can relax?
That for these next few minutes,
You're allowed to simply be here without needing to do?
Because we spend so much time doing,
Thinking,
And acting.
But now we can allow ourselves to simply be and notice that sense of release and relief that comes along with being,
Simply being.
Good.
Now take a moment and see if you can find a way to bring some of this relaxation and relief into your day.
What would it feel like to be just a little more relaxed or easy or calm in your daily life?
And as you're ready,
Begin to gently blink open your eyes.
Take your time.
Allow this feeling to seep into the rest of your day.
