Transcript
On this side of the tape Joseph will give us a guided imagery which will facilitate our understanding of the material we have learned today.
When you listen to this side of the tape you maybe want to be in a place where you can close your eyes and completely relax.
Also I strongly suggest that you take a moment to write down beliefs that you may have about your race first or other races.
To look at how you feel about race.
What are your thoughts about racism?
What are your thoughts about affirmative action or some of the other topics that we discussed?
You can stop the tape now if you want and we will continue.
In this meditation we will go to a safe place.
A place out of doors.
A relaxed state of mind and we would then in this particular meditation create an altar of forgiveness using different colors of flowers.
Someone would come in to your altar who looks extremely like you and this will be the first person that you forgive.
Also then we will bring in people of different races of different colors.
People who you have known perhaps and you can then seek forgiveness and also asked to be forgiven.
And then nightfall will come upon this particular medal and then we will create a future vision for the world.
So if you would now close your eyes and begin to relax.
Let all the tension of the day begin to drain away from you.
Take a deep breath.
Inhale and let go and relax.
Think about your feet.
Focus your attention there.
Feel the relaxation moving into your feet,
Into the balls of your feet,
Into your ankles,
Into your calves.
Relaxation rolling easing up into your kneecaps.
Your knees hold a lot of tension.
Tell your knees to relax.
Relaxation now moving into your thighs up into your pelvic area,
Then to your stomach and all the internal organs tell them stomach,
Liver,
Spleen,
So forth.
Just to relax.
Relaxation moves into your chest.
The beating of your heart begins to slow into a different rhythm.
Relaxation moving into your shoulders,
Rolling down your arms into your fingertips.
Relaxing.
As your neck relaxes allow the tension in your leg just to let go.
Perhaps there is a jaw that's tight.
You've been talking all day.
Allow your jaw to just relax.
Relaxation moves into your head and into your eyelids.
Relaxing.
Relaxing.
Relaxing.
I will count from 11 to 1 and upon reaching the number 1 you will find yourself totally totally relaxed.
I will count upon reaching from the number 11.
You will find yourself in an altered state of consciousness.
I will count from 11 to 1 and upon reaching the number 1 you will find yourself in a beautiful metal.
11 10 9 relaxing relax 8 7 6 relaxing 5 4 3 2 2 and 1 Find yourself in a beautiful beautiful metal.
A field of green and lush trees all around.
A beautiful beautiful spring-like summer day.
See the colors with your eyes.
Feel safe here.
Touch the ground beneath you or a tree or a flower.
Smell this place.
What does it smell like to you?
The rich and dampness of the earth.
And take a step and allow this place to come alive with sound.
Of insects buzzing about birds singing in the trees of the wind blowing through the grass and into the forest.
And here in this place you find and you feel yourself free.
Imagine imagine just imagine what it would feel like to be free.
And now from this place of beauty we'll gather flowers to create an altar of forgiveness.
First looking for some red flowers perhaps there are roses bushes around.
Red beautiful red you gather unto yourself perhaps in a basket perhaps in a bag.
Next you seek orange.
Orange poppies perhaps or some of the orange flower that you are familiar with.
Finding those gathering those unto yourself.
Yellow now seeking yellow perhaps buttercups perhaps yellow daisies gather them to yourself.
And find some beautiful ferns green ferns beautiful green.
Broad leaf perhaps slender leaf perhaps even pine the trees around the green.
Bringing the green closer to your heart looking for some blue flowers like that of a sky perhaps of a morning glory that is blue.
Seeking purple now indigo purple flowers like that of the African violet perhaps.
And the white flowers the lilies any white flower that you see gathered unto yourself now.
And as you are gathering the flowers looking around perhaps under that tree there's an altar perhaps there's a tree that has been cut down you can form a stump that you place your flowers upon.
An altar and as you sit there with your flowers thinking about the race within yourself who are you now?
Do you believe that you have learned about yourself?
Are you ready to let go of some of what you have learned and how to be true in rage or in anger or less than or better than?
Someone comes to sit before you at your altar who looks remarkably like you and you and the person before you talk,
Dialogue about some of the beliefs now that you're willing to let go of about yourself and about others and you and you forgive yourself for holding on to this so long you're ready to let go now you're ready to let go dialogue.
And now now there are others who are coming to you standing up in this metal field,
A forest.
You see people,
Different races perhaps of your past people that you knew in the past that you need to talk to and they need to talk to you but especially about issues of race and culture and gender.
There's someone in the past that perhaps you've called a name that you know were wrong and you ask that person for forgiveness.
Perhaps as a person of color,
Brown,
Red or yellow.
Someone you've never talked to before but have held resentment.
Talk,
Dialogue in this field,
Move from person to person as if you're in a dance creating a whole new life for yourself.
Oh there yes as a person standing under the tree.
What a special message for you.
Let go.
Perhaps a memory floods in from the past.
An incident you have forgotten about.
Something you may feel ashamed of or a time you were hurt.
Time you were angry.
Express it,
Release it,
Forgive the other person,
Forgive yourself and let go.
In this moment again a mirror appears before you and you see your reflection.
Who are you?
Are you a black man,
Black woman?
Are you red?
Are you yellow?
Are you white?
Are you brown?
Look into your eyes and through your eyes in the reflection and see that you are love and color yourself in this mirror.
Color yourself free.
Color yourself free.
In this moment you notice the sunlight begins to fade along with the mirror.
It is evening tide.
Sun begins to fade.
Darkness becomes upon the forest of the meadow.
Everyone is gone and you find yourself alone.
She is here.
You can feel her presence.
Define the divine feminine energy.
The goddess.
The one that knew you way when.
Before all your games,
Before all your manipulations.
She is returning though she never left.
For she includes everyone and leaves out none.
See a single spark of light in the distance coming towards you.
A torch.
As she draws closer to you,
See her face.
She may be an old woman bent with age.
She may be a young girl,
A maiden.
She may be a broadie woman full of life and character.
She may be of white race,
Red,
Black,
Yellow.
She may appear to you all of those things all at once.
As she draws closer to you,
Feel her grace,
Feel her beauty,
And feel her love.
Allow this energy of the goddess to heal you.
To let go.
To heal that part of you that has been so scarred about race or culture or gender.
The heal that part of you that has been so denied.
For she allows you to be free of the incomparable.
To be free of the incomparable of race.
Hear her voice inside of your head.
Feel her presence as a torch shines upon you and her.
Be with her in endless need.
In eternal divine song of never-ending love.
Allow her to surround you with light.
And be in the light.
Allow the light to consume you.
Let go and trust.
For she includes all people.
All people.
All people.
For all time.
And as the light fades,
It is morning.
A new dawn has dawned and you are now ready to dream your vision of a future.
Step beyond the plane into another's existence into the future into your future.
Now that you have changed and have healed,
What world would you want to create for yourself?
What visions do you want to lay forth for your new world now into the future?
For the uncoverment of the past has been released and now it is the future.
It is your future.
What do you want your future to be when it comes in terms of human dignity and human freedom?
What vision do you hold for the world?
How do you see yourself in that vision?
Free.
Interacting with people from different races of different cultures.
Living in the world where there is no war.
Sensing how that feels.
To be evaluated by the content of your character.
To be accepted as you accept yourself for who you are.
Live the vision.
See yourself eating at a table filled with people of different cultures of different colors and laughing and interacting.
See the future of the world where the boundaries are blurred.
See the future.
See the dream.
Go to the mountaintop.
Look past the valley of despair into the future.
It is your future.
You can create it the way that you want it to be.
That's the future.
Moving out of the future into the present.
You find yourself back in the room where you're sitting or lying.
You know that you have been changed and that you have gone to the future to create a place for yourself and for your new world.
And we will count from one to five and then open your eyes.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And five.
Open your eyes.
Take a deep breath and know that you have been changed by this experience.
You have changed yourself and you also have changed the course of the future.
Remember there is only one race,
The human race.
Thank you.

This meditation led to a physical and energetic response that was a deep shift. I felt the movement of my energy raising in vibration and squirming to keep shifting higher. For all of us as a collective to keep shifting our vibration higher and embody one race, human. Thank you so much for this meditation and experience🌻

Tonight I am sleepless and searching for solace as my city riots. I’m feel paralyzed by privilege and sadness and grief over yet another senseless and tragic death, and the violence that has ensued. I needed a refuge to help me remember how to be in the midst of all this trouble. Thank you for reminding me of forgiveness, and of a possibility of healing.
