Use this mental imagery technique anytime you start to feel a strong sense of anger. Feel it in your body... locate it and know that it is coming from within (not without), allowing you to then have the power to release it.

Welcome to Jar Your Mind.

My name is Joey.

In this mental imagery exercise for releasing anger,

Sit in a chair comfortably and breathe in and out three times.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Close your eyes and I want you to begin to feel how the anger inside of you is constricting you.

Where in your body do you feel this constriction?

Maybe it's in your chest,

Or maybe it's your shoulders and neck.

Maybe your entire body feels tense and constricted.

Breathe in and breathe out,

Noticing this constriction and then beginning to release this tension just with your breath.

Breathing in and breathing out the tension,

You are feeling better and better as you are releasing this anger out of your body.

It is releasing and you are relaxing more and more and feeling better and better.

You breathe in and you breathe out and open your eyes.

Do this exercise anytime to change the source of your anger and the thoughts of your anger to a feeling of the source being inside of you and releasing it.

Thank you for joining me and I will see you in the next video.
