Welcome to this mini Christmas meditation.
If it's safe to do so,
Allow your gaze to soften and your eyes to close.
Now taking a deep breath in through the nose and sigh it out through the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose and sighing out through the mouth.
Allowing your breath to return to its normal rhythm and with each inhale and each exhale feel any thoughts in your mind start to slow.
With each breath,
Feel those thoughts drift to the ground and gently settle.
And in the space that clears,
Take a moment to connect to the feeling of what's important to you this Christmas.
Take a moment to notice where in your body that feeling lives and rest your attention there.
With each inhale,
Breathe into that space and sense that feeling grow.
Be it peace,
Be it calm,
Be it love,
Or be it fun.
Sense the feeling growing stronger.
And if you notice thoughts starting to stir,
Bringing your attention back to the breath.
Notice the inhale and the exhale.
Now,
Knowing you can return to this feeling anytime you like,
Bring your attention slowly back to the room and open your eyes.
