A meditative track based on a B-minor piano foundation with a haunting melody of Native American flutes. Based on my own experience trying to communicate with my Mom via video calls during her last few weeks of life during which time she was both suffering from dementia and bedridden by a series of strokes and other illnesses. She was in a nursing home - angry, disoriented, and afraid - and my flute-playing was the only thing that could reach her and bring her a few minutes of peace. The intertwined flutes portray the stages of anxiety, grief, and ultimately, acceptance. All the birdcalls, also played by me, are symbolic and reflect my Mom's lifelong love of birdwatching.
