"The Bear" is an important star-group in Native American culture. This humorous tune was inspired by the antics of a local Mount Wilson Observatory bear, who was spotted one evening noisily breaking into the Galley, tearing the air conditioner out of the wall just to snatch a bag of mangos left in the kitchen, leaving a wake of casual destruction. I'm playing a walnut Woodsounds low bass flute in C minor, which I knew instantly would portray a bear, and sound majestic in the observatory dome.

That was quite nice. The story was nice and the dome added a nice effect.

Love this - playful and still projecting respect for the bear. Adore the flute and resonance. Having lived in areas where bears are a common sight near people, and getting very good at spraying garbage cans with homemade bear repellent as a result, I can easily envision this scene. 😁 Thank you for sharing your lovely composition with us here. I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🤲🏻❤️🤲🏻
