Lark Who Sang His Song To The Sun Every Morning
The "Lark who Sang his Song to the Sun every Morning" is a Navajo constellation which has no Greek or European counterpart. This improvised tune was inspired by a mockingbird who sat in a tree outside our bedroom window, who would sing enthusiastically to the streetlights each night starting around midnight! It's a cheery early-morning wake-up song, and well-liked by kids when I play it in concert. I recorded this song on a "Spirit of the Woods" walnut flute, in the key of A minor.
