In Native American star lore, "Rabbit Tracks" is the name given to a grouping of stars in the constellation also known as "Scorpius". The appearance of rabbit tracks in the snow heralds the coming of spring, and I imagined a rabbit hopping through a late spring snowfall, as the ice melts on the riverbank. I'm playing a "Spirit of the Woods" custom walnut flute in the key of high D minor. This is one of the most cheerful songs from my album "Under The Stars," and popular with kids.
