This traditional song, attributed to the Zuni but known by many tribes, is one of my favorite traditional "greeting songs." Completely improvised and unedited, I'm envisioning a long walk in the cool dawn light as the desert awakens, playing a traditional style cedar flute in E minor that captures the spirit of an ancient song. This track, recorded "live" at the Mt. Wilson Observatory, is from my first album "Under The Stars," and uses only the natural acoustics of the telescope dome.
