Hello and welcome to this meditation.
Finding calm amongst the chaos.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by the chaos in the outside world,
Or if there is internal chaos in your inner landscape,
May this invitation in this meditation find you in a place of inner calm,
In a place of trust and knowing that you have yourself.
Finding a comfortable seat with your spine nice and tall and straight,
And taking some nice long,
Deep and conscious breaths,
Inhaling through the nose,
And slowly exhaling through the nose,
Doing a few rounds of these deep belly breaths,
Softening the breath down into your belly,
And as you exhale,
Really soften and sink into the floor,
The space beneath you,
And connecting with the earth,
The land that you are on.
If it feels good,
Make audible exhales to really centre yourself and ground into your body,
And notice that as you slow your breath down,
As you centre yourself in this space,
There is already a sense of feeling more calm.
It can be easy to become overwhelmed when there is so much noise outside of us,
When we receive information overload,
When we see and hear so much.
Our nervous systems really weren't designed to receive so much information,
So it is our responsibility to take care of our bodies and what we need when we feel overwhelmed.
It takes conscious action to take a moment,
To slow the breath down,
To close the eyes and just look within.
And if you meet chaos in the inside too,
How can you allow yourself just to observe the noise,
To understand that you are not really part of the noise,
It is just simply moving through you,
And actually at the centre of your being is joy,
Peace.
So allowing the noise to be what it is,
Without spiralling into stories or allowing it to take you out,
Simply observing and continuing to come back to your breath,
And the sensations of the air moving through your nose,
And out of your mouth,
Creating space in your body.
Maybe some things are simply out of our control,
Yet the things we can take hold of,
And take care of,
Is our own beings.
The sensations that we are feeling,
Our emotions and our feelings that are also passing through,
Continuing to return to that centre point within you,
Like a field of flowers on a summer's day,
Visualising this light entering,
Your sacral,
Feeling this channel of light energy filling you,
Lighting up every cell in your body,
Peering through the chaos,
Touching every part of you,
Every vibrating cell that is in your body is receiving this light of peace,
This light that transforms and transcends,
Bringing you to a place of innate,
That is streaming down from the skies,
From the heavens,
Is filling you with so much joy,
Using your breath,
To bring in this light,
To fill your entire body,
With this beautiful light energy,
Feel as it fills your entire body,
Using your breath to anchor this in,
Deep down,
Within,
To this universal life force energy,
And this feeling of calm within,
At any moment,
That with loving awareness and conscious attention,
You can access this for yourself when needed,
This inner sanctuary within you,
