Our next method is called the Golden Sun Meditation,
And as you may have guessed,
The Sun will be your primary object of focus.
In this meditation,
The Sun will serve as a symbol of your inner self,
One which is imbued with all the positive qualities of your inner self.
Profound peace,
Boundless joy,
Unconditional love,
Higher wisdom,
And more.
And by visualizing this symbol,
You will be connecting with your inner self,
Your essence,
And absorbing all of its positive qualities.
In this meditation,
We'll use the practice of visualization to tune in to the Sun.
However,
Visualization can be a somewhat misleading term.
Everyone doesn't perceive things in the same way when they're visualizing.
Some will see an object of visualization clearly in their mind,
While others will sort of see it but vaguely,
And other individuals will just feel or sense what they're visualizing.
This mode of perception is called felt sense.
The important thing to remember is that all of these modes of inner perception qualify as visualization,
And all of them are okay and effective.
Now let's go over the steps of the Golden Sun Meditation.
When you're sitting comfortably,
I'll guide you to visualize a bright golden Sun and to imagine that this Sun is your inner self,
Your essence.
It doesn't matter what size the Sun is,
This may change during your meditation.
The location is an important either.
The Sun may appear above you,
In front of you,
Or within you,
And this too may change.
Just go with whatever happens naturally.
Next,
I'll guide you to breathe in the Sun's light.
With each in-breath,
You'll absorb the Sun's light,
And along with it,
You'll be absorbing all the positive qualities of your inner self.
Now let's meditate.
Now sit comfortably,
Close your eyes,
And let your breathing be easy and natural.
Take a few moments to let everything settle a bit.
Now imagine a brilliant golden Sun.
Imagine a radiant golden Sun.
You may see the Sun clearly,
Or faintly,
Or you may just feel or sense its luminous presence.
This golden Sun is a symbol of your essence,
Your inner self.
Imagine that this Sun is imbued with all the positive qualities of your inner self.
Profound peace,
Boundless joy,
Unconditional love,
Higher wisdom,
And more.
Now as you inhale,
Gently absorb the light of this brilliant Sun.
With each inhalation,
Breathe in the Sun's light.
As you breathe in the Sun's light,
You're absorbing all of its positive qualities as well.
With each inhalation,
Breathe in the Sun's light.
With each in-breath,
Imagine the Sun's rays filling you,
Saturating your entire being.
Let yourself be filled with the light.
If at any time you don't see the Sun,
It's okay.
Just know that it's there as you breathe in its light.
If you notice that your attention has drifted off completely,
It's okay.
Simply bring it back to the Sun and continue breathing in its light.
Now continue meditating like this.

Question.
I was seeing the Sun in my mind and then it suddenly disappeared.
That tends to be a common experience in this meditation and it's alright.
If you're seeing the Sun and it disappears on you,
Just know that it's there and continue breathing in its light.
Directing your attention to the Sun and breathing in its light is all that's necessary for this meditation to be effective.
