Welcome to today's practice where we will use our breath to bring us into the present moment.
We only breathe now.
We don't breathe in the future.
We don't breathe in the past.
So when we bring our attention to our breath,
It helps bring us into the present moment.
And when we're in the present moment,
We're not worried about things in the future or the past.
So let's begin.
You can start by closing your eyes or simply glazing down and just begin by noticing your breath as it goes in and out through your nose.
Not changing how you're breathing,
But simply noticing.
Can you feel the air as it moves in and out?
Can you even sense the temperature of your breath?
Perhaps you can even feel the hairs in your nose move as the air goes in and out.
Can you notice the rise and fall of your belly or chest?
Can you notice how deep or how shallow your breaths are?
Can you hear yourself breathing?
What does it sound like to hear your breath?
Just feeling the air as it moves in and out through your nostrils.
Feeling the rise and fall of your belly or chest.
Feeling the temperature as it goes in and out through your nose.
And taking another moment just to listen and hear yourself breathing.
Now let's take a deep breath in together and release.
Another deep breath in together and release.
One more deep breath in together and release.
You can flutter your eyes open,
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And remember,
You can always use your breath to bring you into this present moment.
And when you're in the present moment,
You can always use your breath to bring you into this present moment,
Fear,
Worry,
Melt away.
So enjoy this practice one breath at a time.
