This Yoga Nidra practice includes visualisations designed to balance the Ayurvedic Kapha Dosha. Kapha is composed of the earth and water elements and is responsible for the body's structure and stability. When Kapha is out of balance, symptoms can include weight gain, lethargy, slow digestion, congestion and feelings of apathy and laziness . Kapha is balanced by movement, heat, lightness and dryness. The practice includes exploration of the opposites heavy/light and apathy/passion, and Kapha balancing visualisations including placing a flame around the energy points of the body and focusing on a flame at the eyebrow centre to encourage focus and motivation towards achieving a goal or desire.
