Good morning.

Take a few moments to feel your body resting in bed.

Easing into wakefulness.

Enjoying the feel of the sheets.

The pillow.

The comfort you are experiencing.

And the beauty and luxury of waking up slowly.

How we start our morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.

The choices we make as we wake up influence how we feel or go about our day.

Oftentimes we begin our day haphazardly and with urgency.

That doesn't have to be the case.

As you observe the tranquility in this morning,

Notice what a beautiful morning this is.

Take your time to savor some slow,

Deep breaths here.

Then let your breathing settle into a natural,

Peaceful rhythm.

Let your body take over the breathing for you.

Allow yourself to drop into the natural rhythm of your breath.

Your whole body opens to the spaciousness and lightness of your breathing.

You feel a deep sense of presence in your awareness.

Turning your mind's focus to the sky.

You notice the stars high above you begin to fade away.

In this new day,

New beginning.

The sun has just barely started to rise.

Gorgeous rising sun.

Trees become more vivid and clear.

You watch the leaves on the trees sway with the morning breeze.

As the sun continues to rise,

The sky begins to take on a deep,

Vibrant orange glow.

You begin to feel the sensation of the breeze on your skin.

Feeling a sense of warmth and comfort,

You begin to feel grateful for this moment.

This sense of gratefulness putting a smile on your face.

Experiencing this magnificent view.

This breeze.

The smell of fresh morning air.

The birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the wind.

You appreciate the feeling of relaxation in this very moment.

Feeling completely present.

The deep orange sky slowly turns into a golden glow.

The clouds have taken on a beautiful pink hue.

You watch the beautiful pink clouds slowly pass through the morning sky.

The sky gradually turns from gold to blue.

You feel a sense of gratefulness to be able to witness this beautiful sight with your heart.

Your heart filled with love.

There is so much to feel grateful for in this moment right now.

You recall that each morning when you wake up is already a precious gift.

A gift of life itself.

Your heartbeat.

Your emotions.

Feelings.

And thoughts.

Perhaps thinking about the shelter that you have.

You turn a tap and clean drinking water flows.

You have clothes to wear.

Thinking about the people who plant,

Grow and harvest your food.

Consider the people and pets you know who enrich your life.

Those who smile at you and cheer you on.

Your family.

Friends.

Acquaintances.

And colleagues.

The people who care for you and love you.

The people you love.

Remembering what matters to you most.

You appreciate everything that is currently working in your life.

You appreciate the challenges too.

Because you know they are meant to give you a variety of experiences to learn and grow.

Allow the gratitude to fill your heart more and more.

As you appreciate the beauty in everything that surrounds you.

Take your time to experience this precious moment for as long as you are like.

When you feel ready.

Observe the space around you.

Bring your awareness to the support beneath you.

The sounds in the space.

Your sense of smell.

Sensations in your body.

If you like,

Take a full deep inhale through your nose.

And exhale through your mouth.

Today is going to be a beautiful day.

As you go about your day as the author of your life.

May you take time to look up and appreciate the beauty of the sky.

Remember this heartfelt and tranquil moment of peace and calm that got you started off on the right foot.

May you remember the things you are grateful for.

May you be compassionate with yourself and others.

Slowly blink open your eyes.

Feeling completely refreshed and ready for a day filled with boundless potential.

Wonderful adventures.

All surprises.
