Begin this meditation by making yourself comfortable.
Getting up,
Aligning down.
Gently close your eyes.
Feel where your body needs support.
Release a few long exhales through your mouth.
And allow your body weight to descend to the ground.
Allow your entire body to land.
Regain breathing through your nose.
Let your breathing settle into a natural,
Easeful rhythm.
Let your body take over your breathing for you.
After every exhale,
The body naturally inhales.
After every inhale,
The body naturally exhales.
Natural,
Easeful rhythm.
As you settle into the natural flow of your breathing,
Bring your awareness inside your mind.
Imagine your mind becomes the sky.
Observe your thoughts pass like clouds in the sky.
And they are all passing by.
Notice the clouds.
Perhaps each cloud has a different shape,
Color,
Speed,
And meaning.
Perhaps each cloud has a theme.
Still,
Perhaps.
The clouds are like images projected on a cinema screen.
And you are watching them play like a film with characters and storyline.
Observe your thoughts from a distance.
Just notice them.
Like an impartial observer of every thought that comes up.
Not interacting with it.
Not charging it.
Not having a dialogue with it.
Not trying to quiet the mind or stop the thoughts.
It is as though you are leaving your thoughts alone.
Leaving your mind alone.
The thoughts are there.
And perhaps they always will be.
But in this time right now,
Know that you don't have to entertain them.
Take some time here to observe yourself coexisting with this mind.
No rush at all.
As you prepare to transition back to your day-to-day life.
Acknowledge that our mind can be busy and have a mind of its own.
We don't have to be involved with every single thought.
All the time.
We experience freedom not by being obsessed in controlling the mind.
But by allowing ourselves to coexist with ease.
With whatever happens in the mind.
Release a few long exhales through your mouth.
And when you feel ready.
Slowly blink open your eyes.
