
Anxiety Relief Meditation
This track will help anyone struggling with anxiety to reduce their symptoms and become more comfortable. This guided mindfulness practice is easy to follow.
Transcript
Sit down with your back up straight.
Sit down with your shoulders in front of you,
Or lie down.
You may choose to make yourself comfortable in another seated position,
And that will be fine too.
Close your eyes.
Place your hands,
Palms facing upwards,
As it will allow for a deeper breath.
Aware of the muscles around your eyes.
Allow the muscles to become so loose,
So limp,
So comfortable that the muscles around your eyes and your eyelids cannot become any more relaxed.
As soon as you have allowed them to become as relaxed as they can be,
You can test them.
And you will quickly notice that as long as you hold on to the relaxation you are allowing in and around your eyelids,
They will not move.
You can now allow the same sensations of comfort to spread from the eyes to the muscles around your face,
The muscles in your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw.
And allow each muscle in your face to become so limp,
So loose,
And so relaxed that they cannot become more relaxed.
And when you are certain they are relaxed,
You can test them.
And you will soon notice that as long as you hold on to the relaxation,
The muscles in your face will remain comfortably loose and limp.
And now allow the same sensations you have allowed in your face to spread down,
Down through your neck and shoulders.
If there is any tension there,
Simply allow the muscles in your neck and shoulders to become looser and limp as you allow your shoulders to drop slightly.
They loosen up,
Allowing the muscles to become so limp and comfortable that they cannot become more comfortable than that.
And when you are certain that they cannot become more comfortable,
You can test them.
And you will soon notice that as long as you hold on to the relaxation in your neck and shoulders,
They just won't move.
And you will continue to go deeper,
More comfortable.
And now allow the same sensations to spread across your entire body all the way through to your lower back,
Your hips,
Your legs,
The right leg,
The left leg,
Your feet,
Your toes,
Every single muscle comfortably loose and limp.
And as you allow your entire body to become comfortably heavy,
Pleasantly comfortable,
And you are certain that your body cannot become more relaxed than this,
You can test it.
And you will soon notice that as long as you are holding on to the comfort and relaxation,
You will be able to feel the comfort and relaxation that you are allowing in your entire body,
Your entire body will remain comfortably loose.
And there is nothing else of importance for you to do,
Simply allowing yourself to be aware of the sounds,
Allowing your mind to become more relaxed,
As relaxed as your body has become.
In fact,
There is no limit to how relaxed you can become,
Allowing your mind to drift,
Letting go,
Drifting into the sound,
Allowing your mind to drift into the sound.
And it doesn't matter where you go,
You continue drifting into the sound and letting go.
And as you continue letting go,
Your mind continues drifting further.
And perhaps you can imagine yourself in a peaceful,
Relaxing place and to notice all the details of this beautiful place outdoors.
Maybe it is a place you have already been to before.
Maybe it is a place you would like to visit.
It doesn't have to be a real place.
It can be just a fantasy.
Or a combination of both.
Imagine in any easy way that comes to you.
Some people imagine in moving pictures.
Like watching a movie,
While others ild Some people imagine in moving pictures,
Like watching a movie,
While others imagine in still pictures,
Like photographs.
You might just have a strong sensation of being there,
Surrounded by that place.
And whatever it is that you experience,
Or don't experience,
Is fine.
And simply to allow yourself to be drifting even further,
And letting go.
Even as you continuously let go,
Deepening feelings of safety and comfort,
Surround you.
And in a moment's time,
You can begin to allow yourself to gently return to your present awareness,
To your present place,
Where you are,
And very gradually begin to open your eyes.
In your own time,
Bringing with you this deeper sense of peace that will stay with you long after.
And each time you listen to this recording,
You get better,
And better,
And better.

Interesting & effective calming practice. Thank you 🙏🏻 The repetition of phrases in the guidance was at first a little jarring but soon became almost hypnotic, & very soothing, allowing a deeper relaxation & letting go. The background music also had a hypnotic effect for me & drew my mind to follow it, releasing thinking.
