We're going to start by breathing in for three and out for six.

Breathing in for three and out for six.

Now I want you to follow the breath.

Big deep belly breath from within.

Breathe in and follow the breath out.

Breathe in again and follow the breath out.

Every time you breathe in,

You're breathing in light and you're letting go of negativity.

You're creating space in the body.

You're letting go of anything that you've been holding on to.

Just let it go.

And now we're going to engage in your senses.

I want you to listen to all the sounds that are going on around you.

Hear what you're hearing.

Really take in all the sounds that are going on around you.

And then really drop down into your body and feel what you're feeling.

What are you feeling right now?

Do you feel the clothes against your skin?

Do you feel the breath in your belly?

What is it that you're feeling?

And with your eyes closed,

I want you to see what you're seeing.

Are you seeing light?

Are you seeing dark?

Are you seeing any shapes?

What are you seeing right now?

Colors?

Really focus in on what you're seeing.

Now swirl your tongue around in your mouth and I want you to taste what you're tasting.

Does your mouth taste acidic or dry?

What are you tasting right now?

And then take a deep breath in and smell what you're smelling.

Do you smell sweet?

Does your house smell?

Maybe you're baking.

What are you smelling right now?

Do you smell the outdoors?

Are your windows open?

Now we're going to engage in the senses again.

I want you to hear what you're hearing.

Feel what you're feeling.

With the eyes closed,

See what you're seeing.

Swirling the tongue around in your mouth,

Taste what you're tasting.

Deep breath in and smell what you're smelling.

And now feel your body start to surrender.

The breath start to relax.

Feel your jaw start to soften.

Your eye gaze start to soften.

Your body become more welcoming,

Opening to receive.

I want you to face your palms up to the ceiling or if you happen to be outside to the sky,

Connecting within to your higher power.

And I want you to scan your body right now for any areas of tension.

Where do you feel tension in your body?

I want you to go to that area and I want you to send love there and feel the area that you feel tension start to expand and to let go of any of the tension that you've been holding on to.

And I'm going to let you do this on your own for a few minutes.

Just scan your body for all the tension areas and sending love to those areas and letting those areas expand and letting go of any negativity that you're holding on to.

Really get in touch with your body.

Become aware.

You are love and you are light.

Your body is being filled with love and light and tension is leaving the body.

Scan your body starting from the tips of your toes all the way to the crown of your head for anywhere you may feel tension.

I want you to feel your body continue to relax and surrender.

Another minute scanning the body and then we're going to do some body appreciation affirmations.

Now,

I want you to start at your feet.

I want you to really appreciate your feet for all that they do for you everywhere they take you.

Just really have an appreciation for your feet.

Up to your ankles,

To your calves and your thighs.

I want you to really appreciate your legs and how your legs get you where you're going.

Really have an appreciation for your legs.

We're going to go up to the pelvic region.

Let it expand.

I want you to tighten and release the buttocks,

Letting go of any tension you might be holding onto in that area.

Letting go of any tension you might be holding onto in the gut.

I want you to feel the light filling your body from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head.

I really want you to appreciate your body.

Appreciate your hands and your arms,

Your beautiful face,

Your handsome face.

Really appreciate your smile,

Your eyes,

Your nose that you can smell with,

Your ears that you can hear with,

Your taste buds.

Really take a moment and really appreciate your body and everything it does for you.

Now we're going to do some body appreciation affirmations.

I am strength.

I am strength.

I am health.

I am health.

I am vitality.

I am vitality.

I choose nourishing foods.

I choose nourishing foods.

I choose to take good care of my body.

I choose to take good care of my body.

I am grateful for my body.

I found this meditation helpful,but the affirmations ,I wish there were a few more relating to that of an 81 year old lady!!
