Bringing a more profound breath into the body. Focusing on opening up and making space for a wider, deeper, slower breath cycle to take place. Expanding on the inhalations and relaxing, contracting on the exhalations. Use this flux and flow to sharpen your mindful focus.

Transcript

Gently close your eyes and become aware of your breath,

At this moment in its natural rhythm and cycle,

Moving in and moving out,

Notice what expands in your body as the breath comes in,

And what contracts as the breath moves out,

And just trying to deepen that expansion and contraction,

Deepening in terms of the wideness,

So you feel the breath is more full in the body,

When you take that inhale,

The belly is expanding,

The sides of the body,

Maybe even you feel the backs of the ribs,

The muscles between the ribs,

Widening and deepening,

And as the breath moves out,

The contraction of the muscles,

Everything moving in towards the central line of the spine,

The abdominal wall moves in,

Ribs move in,

The sides of the body move in,

Just keeping this focus on deep,

Expansive inhales,

Slow,

Contractive exhales,

Continuing for as long as you need to,

To reset and refocus.
