Welcome to this box breath practice.
Please make sure you are in a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Let you are nice and warm and can relax easily.
When you are ready,
Gently close your eyes,
Relax your whole body and spend a few moments letting go of what is outside you and coming to presence within yourself.
Begin to notice your natural breath.
How it flows effortlessly in and effortlessly out.
This breath is your life force nourishing your body.
It is your anchor to bring balance,
To soothe your nervous system and calm the mind.
Imagine a square of light around your body,
It keeps you safe and warm.
The line going up on the right side is your inhalation.
The line above your head is a pause.
The line going down on the left side is the exhalation.
And the final line at the bottom is a pause.
Take a long exhalation.
Inhale a deep breath,
The light moves up the right side.
Pause the breath gently at the top,
The light moves slowly above your head.
Exhale the light moves down the left side.
Pause the breath gently at the bottom and the light completes its first cycle.
