Seeking to bring a more positive and peaceful world to each individual.
The world comes into our presence through television,
Radio,
And social media,
Etc.
Bringing with it anxiety,
Fear,
Anger,
And prejudice,
Among other negative emotions.
But these influences also can bring joy,
Hope,
Happiness,
And positive energies,
Like those found here on Insight Timer.
So how can we filter out the bad and still receive the good?
First,
Let's find a stillness within ourselves.
Meditation can calm the storm raging around us through focusing on the here and now of the present.
While it can be hard at first to quiet the mind when it's swirling in its opposing directions,
Take mental note of the influences that bring negative energies into your being and mute the negative.
Mankind was not meant to bear the weight of everything going on.
The positive is all around as well.
Gravitate to the positive and let your light shine with those that choose the light now.
Let's find a stillness by getting yourself into a comfortable position,
In a quiet place where we can quiet the mind and dedicate this time for self-care.
Let your eyes rest,
Gently let them come to a close,
And it feels good to relax them.
Take a long,
Refreshing breath through your nose and gently release through your mouth with a gentle sigh.
Take another relaxing breath in,
And as you release,
Clear your thoughts and let go.
Now just find your regular breath and relax.
And if thoughts enter your mind,
See them,
Acknowledge them,
And let them drift away.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Visualize just above the bridge of your nose.
Don't strain,
But focus on that spot for 10,

Let your closed eyes come into their neutral position and imagine a candle burning before you.
A gentle flicker of flame surrounded by blackness.
No thoughts,
Just a flickering flame in your mind's eye.
Enjoying this peacefulness of this moment,
This presence,
This light you see as your light,
Your guidance with no outside influence.
There is peace within you.
Just sit here and listen to the stillness of your mind.
This is a peaceful place,
Safe and warm.
The comforting stillness of relaxation.
Stay here within yourself,
Releasing the weight off your shoulders.
This beautiful moment,
This present moment of peace.
Content with this serene imagery.
Let your flame grow.
You are a light,
A positive light.
You are a peaceful person.
Your heart feels love and peace as a child of light.
Take this feeling and know you can always come back.
Consider it if you will.
