Jean McDonald (RYT-200 - Radiant Child Family Yoga Instructor and Trainer, MFA in Theatre, BMED in Music Education) has been practicing yoga since 2000 and meditating since 2014. These practices have transformed her life in many ways, and now she teaches yoga and mindfulness in and around Washington DC. Jean believes that listening to your body and following your intuition will lead you to health and vitality, and she enjoys teaching others how to tune in to their individual inner guidance as they practice. Jean has a special interest in working with mothers during pregnancy, and she loves helping them learn to navigate their changing bodies as they mentally and physically prepare for the labor experience. Jean is also the Program Director for Create Calm, Inc., and she spends a great deal of her time teaching weekly yoga and mindfulness classes to preschool and elementary aged children in Maryland and Washington DC. Jean is also a Radiant Child Yoga Trainer, and she loves to teach adults how to share the vital tools of yoga and mindfulness with the children in their lives. Before becoming a yoga teacher, Jean had a long-standing career in education and the arts and has led many workshops for educators and parents. She is thrilled to help her students reconnect with their true selves and lead more calm and happy lives.
