Inviting you to sit or lay somewhere comfortable.

We're going to take five minutes out of our day to just notice our bodies.

Connect with our needs.

Connect with what our body wants for these five minutes.

This is all about how you feel and what your body needs.

As you start to relax into your chair or wherever you're laying,

Start to feel the connection of your body to the fabric around you.

Is there some warmth?

Is it hard on your body or soft?

Now I want you to move your awareness into a part of your body that feels uncomfortable.

Is there a little bit of pain?

Is there any part of you that you are feeling that's a little bit awkward right now?

Focus your attention on this part.

What we're going to do is just allow that pain to be there.

Notice that your body is sending you a signal.

Your body is trying to communicate with you.

This doesn't have to be good or bad.

There's no right or wrong.

It's just sharing with you how it feels.

If you can,

Send that part of your body just a little bit of nourishment,

Some kindness.

Say to the young comfort or any pain that you're in that you hear your body,

That you're noticing it,

That you're there with it.

And although you might not be able to always help make it better,

You're there and you notice.

This is a chance for you to reconnect with your body,

No matter if that's in the good or the bad.

Constantly sending ourselves little messages throughout the day.

Sometimes we might forget to take notice.

We might be too busy or distracted.

But these are our five minutes to be really able to sit with our bodies and what our bodies need.

As we become more aware of that part of us,

Start to spread your attention outward.

Just noticing other parts of you that might be feeling warm or relaxed.

What is your body communicating with you right now?

Just opening your attention to it.

This beautiful body that you have.

Just letting it know that you're there with it.

You're listening.

Bringing your attention back to your chair or wherever you're laying and how you feel in that chair right now.

The fabric on your skin or on your legs or back.

Just noticing.

Bringing your awareness back into your breath,

The rise and fall of your chest.

Our bodies provide us so much throughout the day.

Our heartbeat,

Our breath,

Our warmth.

Sometimes we forget to listen.

We've taken this beautiful five minutes to do that for ourselves today.

Just to sit with them.

Hear what it has to say.

And that's all that's needed.

Try to take that with you throughout the day and if you notice things coming up,

Some pain,

Some feelings of discomfort or even warmth or love.

Just say to your body,

I hear you.

That's all we can do.

Thanks for the good guidance, Jessica. It is another great form of the present moment mindfulness training. And make us know that the body and the mind work to support and relate to each other all the time. If we understand the transmission of the mind signals to the body, it will lead us to the highest efficiency in living.
