Hello beautiful souls,
This is June Bee,
And welcome to a beautiful night's sleep.
Thanks for being here for another in the series,
Bedtime Tales with June Bee.
Join me as I go to the beach and concentrate on the beautiful and powerful waves and all the things we will discover on our journey to sleep.
So,
Let's get into your favourite sleeping position.
Making sure you are comfortable,
Close your eyes,
Relax your muscles,
And slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.
Now let's go to your breathing,
Slowing down the heart rate,
And let's take some nourishing breaths together.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Last time,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Settle in now,
Get comfortable,
Let go of everything that happened today and let's relax together.
Let yourself focus on my voice.
If your mind wanders,
It's okay,
Bring it back to the sound of my voice.
Keep your breathing slow and steady.
Let's go on our journey together.
Today I am at the beach and decided to do one of my favourite things,
Wave watching.
Are you ready to come with me?
Okay,
Let's go.
Did you know simply steering out to the sea can change your brainwaves?
It can change the frequency of those waves and allow us to slip into a meditative state.
Walking by the sea allows us to slow down our pace and be more in tune with the constant rhythm of the waves going in and out,
Getting away from the hectic and sometimes negative digital world and allowing us to be in the present moment by focusing on the beauty that is before us.
Our breathing becomes in tune with the natural rhythm of the beating waves and we are able to connect with our inner and more intrinsic self,
Once we allow all our daily hustle and bustle to dissipate.
We can now see the big picture when we slow down and get in tune with how we really are processing where we are in our lives.
Did you know the colour blue is associated with feelings of calm and peace and listening to the ebb and flow of the waves and the swell of the sea naturally soothes,
Calms and relaxes our brains.
Amazing right?
When we spend time in blue spaces it enables us to unconsciously and consciously recognise the interconnection between all aspects of life while cultivating empathy and dissolving any sense of negativity.
Listening to the waves crashing right now,
The rhythm of the ebb and flow of the constantly moving and never stopping water.
It sprinkles on your face and as the sun gently dries it and leaves the salty deposits on your skin.
You can almost smell the water right now,
Can't you?
Giving thanks for the reverence and power of what we can see in front of us is a beautiful thing to focus our brains on.
It allows us to smile and be thankful for being here for this special time of being in the present moment.
Allowing ourselves this special time can produce a really positive mindset and in turn make our lives even better.
Steering out to the sea can allow us to move the needle towards better well-being in our lives by being present and giving thanks.
With everything that goes on in the world today,
Why wouldn't you take the time,
Even carve it out on a regular basis,
So you can be gently and lovingly healed and soothed by the immense power and presence of the waves.
I have always found being by the waves is such an amazing and calming place.
I think it may be the power of the waves versus the calming effects that flood over me like a warm blanket.
The most exciting part is actually taking a dip.
No matter what worries you may have,
Once you dip your toe into the ocean,
You instantly become present in that moment.
The slight chill of the sea will bring you instant clarity,
Until your body adjusts to the cooler temperature of the water.
This action of going to the beach,
Watching the waves and taking a little dip and being at one with the sea allows you to connect with your emotions in a powerful and deeply meaningful way.
It demands your full attention in a captivating and breath-stopping way.
Your full presence is required when you immerse yourself in this amazing scene.
It is such a win-win scenario.
So if you want to have a feeling of being at one with nature,
Let all of your worries go instantly,
Connect with your inner guidance,
Be mindful,
Open up being in the present moment,
Gaining clarity from any situation,
General well-being,
Connecting with your emotions,
Putting things into perspective,
Go and visit the sea.
Remember,
When you go to the beach,
You are no longer only visiting,
You are connecting with your emotions.
There is something about the silence,
The serenity and the peace that can only be found in or near the sea.
Then and only then,
You are at one with nature,
You have more sensory awareness,
You are immersed in refreshing sensations,
You are in tune with the motion of the ocean,
You smell the smell of the water.
And the ultimate challenge is being part of something greater than you.
At that very moment,
You are part of the great expanse that is the sea and therefore gain clarity and a peace that is unreplicated by all the modern trappings we have in our lives today.
What an amazing place to visit,
Right?
I'm not sure about you,
I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.
So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.
Thanks for joining me tonight and as you slowly drift away,
Have yourself a great night's sleep and looking forward to seeing you again for another in the series of Bedtime Tales with June B.
Good night.
