Hello beautiful souls, This is June B and welcome to a beautiful night's sleep. Thanks for being here for another in the series Bedtime Tales with June B. Today we will take a trip high above the night sky and explore the wonders that await us. So let's get into your favorite sleeping position, Make sure you're comfortable, Close your eyes, Relax your muscles and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed. Now let's go to your breathing, Slowing down your heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Breathe in, Breathe out. Last time, Breathe in, Breathe out. I'm really tired right now and can't get to sleep. I need to unwind as my brain is going all over the place. It is times like this that I think of the night sky. When I was young, My dad used to tell me a story about the night sky. I will share it with you so we can both have a sound night's sleep. The night sky is about a person who has a few special skills or powers, Can we say? One of the powers is to have the ability to fully relax by taking a trip in their sleep up high above the clouds. To fly in actual fact and not in a kid's way, In a way that you can see yourself doing and having all kinds of adventures along the way. So let's lay back and go on this journey together. Think of this person as a stranger or someone you already know. Someone from the future, From the past or even the present. You can name your person whatever you want because this person is your dearest friend and guide even if you have only just met. I will call my person Eve. I like that name. So Eve longs to go to sleep and has a hard time getting into that fully relaxed state. So she decides to take a trip to tire herself out and then drift off to a beautiful night's rest. Today Eve is going to step out of her bedroom and once she has enough willpower, She starts to gently float above the floor an inch at a time. Eventually she's up and moving. So let us start at the beginning. Let go of all of those things that are bothering you and stopping you from sleeping. Shake them off right now and lay down that heavy burden from your mind and body. All of a sudden you are feeling light, As light as a feather. You are almost weightless and nothing is holding you down anymore. So imagine yourself and your person slowly going up. Starting to get higher than the bed, Moving up to the window, Then gently and slowly going outside through the window and floating up above the roof. So now that we're floating, Let's take a seat for a moment. Oh what a view. Can you see it now? Let's look at all the rooftops we can see. Different colors and styles all around. Some houses have flat roofs and others have chimneys. The ones with the chimneys there is white smoke bellowing out of them. Shooting up into the sky and making a pattern where they all meet way above the rooftops. It's like they are all going to a sky party and can't wait to get there to meet some friends. I can imagine this goes on many nights. We are only privy to it because we're sitting here with our special person. So now Eve and I have enjoyed the scene of all the chimneys and what happens to them on this dark night. We slowly lift off again and start to float. Holding hands, We are in tandem. Like synchronized swimmers. When she turns one way, I'm right there in sync with her. And when she dips down, There I am exactly in step or flight should I say. So moving at a good clip now. That's how we say going quite fast. Once again, We are safe and all is well. We are looking down below and all of the land and sea below us looks so amazing. Somewhat like the song about the snowman at Christmas. Have you heard that song? The snowman floats above the land, Checking out all below and making sure everyone he sees is safe and all is well. Well, Eve and I are doing the same thing. Floating high above the houses and now we are coming up to the sea. Oh, The shades of blue are fantastic and we can just make out these little white lines that are the waves breaking. The air has changed and it is not blocked by any of the buildings of before. It is cool and slides off us as we sail on by. Having a giggle as we go and enjoying the sights that are below. Now, Eve and I decide it's time to sail on up among the clouds. Can you see it? We are in the midst of white and fluffy candy floss. It feels thicker and all we can see is white as we sail on up. The thick mess of some of the clouds are like lumpy porridge and we sway back and forth navigating between the thicker and thinner clouds. Eventually we burst through the clouds and oh my, What an amazing sight. We are here above the clouds and the stars are fascinating. They look like shiny gold trimmed spotlights among us. They glisten so brightly against the deep black tones of this enchanting and delightful night sky. Keeping us all safe and well protected. I mean if the sky wasn't there, Where would the stars actually live? What a thought, Right? As we sail from star to star or as we liken them to spotlight to spotlight, It makes us feel as if we are on a runway and being lit up with every few steps we take. Oh, What fun this is. Would you have imagined such a beautiful end to a difficult day? I certainly didn't. I could stay here forever. What about you? Sailing high above the clouds without a care in the world. Utter bliss. I'm not sure about you. I'm getting really sleepy even thinking about it. So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.
