Hello beautiful souls,
This is June Bee and welcome to an amazing night's sleep.
Thanks for being here for another in the series Bedtime Tales with June Bee.
Join me as we are out and get caught in a storm and all the things we will discover on our journey to sleep.
So let's get into your favorite sleeping position,
Making sure you are comfortable.
Close your eyes,
Relax your muscles and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.
Now let's go to your breathing,
Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Last time,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Ah.
Settle in now,
Relax and get comfortable.
Listen to the sound of my voice.
If your mind wanders,
It's okay,
Bring it back to the sound of my voice.
Let go of everything that has happened today and let's go on our journey together.
So I'm out and about at a friend's house.
It has been a great day and then whoosh,
The rain falls down in buckets.
Oh my.
You know there is something about the rain that is so soothing.
The thing about the rain is,
When it gets angry,
As I would call it,
The power of it is almost hypnotic and it sets us up expertly for an amazing night's sleep.
The rain,
When it falls really heavy,
Can change the entire atmosphere of wherever you are.
Lulling you into this inviting cocoon of dancing raindrops on the floor,
Giggling and tickling the tiny hairs on the inside of your ears.
The white noise sound of this popping sound,
Just like the sound of your golden kernels gently placed into fiercely spitting and sizzling oil until they burst into tiny white balls of joy,
Now bursting and popping in the sky.
The scene changes all around you and a clarity that comes after the rain is comforting you like a warm blanket on a slightly chilly day.
This is peace personified.
So as you sit close to the window with a perfect view of all of these exciting proceedings unfolding before you,
Listening to the thunder sounds really calms your mind and blocks out any unwanted distractions.
It gives you space and time to think on pleasant things.
You think about the last time you was in such weather and how that went.
For me,
It was visiting another friend while on holiday and how the heavy drops of water-laden joy fell on the roof of the dwelling I was staying in.
That time was as sweet as this.
The noise takes you to a place of relaxation and peace like nothing else I've ever found.
The funny thing was the rain was falling so hard and seemingly beating away at everything outside that I kept checking the roof to see if there would be any leaks.
Because you know water,
It always finds a way,
Right?
So as the clapping of the thunder and the beating of the rain goes on in a sweet melody outside,
I have just gotten myself a warm hot toddy and as I sit here enjoying the scene and sipping on my drink,
I am feeling that life is good and all is well in my world.
Can you listen to the sounds of the thunder?
Can you imagine the scene right now?
Take some time to try to listen to the individual drops of rain and the space that lies within.
Dancing their dance while hitting the pavements and roofs and everything else outside.
Bouncing back up,
Hitting into another drop and falling back down onto the earth.
This constant routine of the raindrops falling,
Hitting the ground,
Bouncing back up,
Hitting the ground again goes on and on for hours.
With this beautiful and powerful thunder and rain sound all around,
I can imagine how peaceful my rest will be afterwards and how welcoming the bed seems right now.
As I sit here,
My eyes glaze over somewhat and I go into a kind of trance,
Allowing the sound to wash over me with a smile on my face.
Ah,
Perfect.
I'm not sure about you.
Oh,
I'm getting sleepy even thinking about it.
So I'm ready to let go fully and surrender to sleep.
Thanks for joining me tonight and as you slowly drift away,
Have yourself a great night.
Sleep.
And looking forward to seeing you again for another in the series of Bedtime Tales with June B.
Good night.
