Hello beautiful souls,
This is JB and welcome to A Beautiful Night's Sleep.
Thanks for being here for another in the series Sleep Stories with June B.
Join me today as I'm going to try to find this amazing waterfall I've been told so much about.
So let's get into your favorite sleeping position.
Make sure you're comfortable.
Close your eyes and slowly imagine yourself just melting into the bed.
Now let's go to your breathing.
Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Last Last time,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Today I'm on a trip along the river to find a waterfall.
So join me and let's see if we can discover this amazing and majestic waterfall together.
So here we are,
Walking along the side of this stream.
The sun is shining and the birds are singing.
It's the perfect temperature and there's a gentle breeze blowing that caresses your face as you look up and see the majestic looking trees above.
The trees are a deep and beautiful shade of green and there are flowers on the ground with small and pretty purple flowers called pink monkey flowers.
They are so little but pack a big punch in the beauty department.
As I walk along the riverbank,
The water takes turns in moving fast or slowing down to almost a triple.
Sometimes it bubbles and other times it's just really calm.
But we all know,
Just because it looks still on top doesn't mean anything.
The current must be fairly fast underneath.
So what is a waterfall?
A waterfall is an area where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops in the course of a stream or a river below.
The movement of water at the top of a waterfall can erode rocks and cause them to be very flat and smooth.
The crashing flow of the water has created many powerful whirlpools that erode the rock of the plunged pool beneath them.
The resulting erosion at the base of a waterfall can be very dramatic.
The area behind the waterfall is also worn away,
Creating a hollow,
Cave-like structure called a rock shelter.
I'm so excited about seeing this pretty feeling of a waterfall because everyone is saying it's magnificent.
So walking along and the birds are singing so smoothly.
They seem to have a singing gig going on right now and are taking turns to sing the brightest.
I could stay here and listen to these beautiful birds for hours.
So I'm coming up to a little clearing along the bank and I think I'll just sit here for a moment and relax.
I have taken out my mat and I'm just going to take a few minutes to have a drink and take in all this beauty.
Now it's time to do the final leg of this trip and get to the waterfall.
Oh,
Here it is coming up in the distance.
It's getting louder and louder as more and more water comes rushing by me as I'm making my way to this amazing waterfall.
Just a few more minutes and I'm there.
I can see it.
I can smell the water hitting off of the greenery all around.
The smell tickles my nose.
Oh wow,
What an amazing sight.
Look at the height of that.
Now that's what I took all this time to come and see.
There are people swimming at the bottom of the waterfall.
There are some people hiding in the cave-like structure called the rock shelter.
There's some people relaxing on the grassy side.
Generally though,
Everyone's having such an amazing time.
This water is a force to be reckoned with.
It just keeps on flowing without stopping.
Absolutely amazing.
I'm going to strip down to my bathing suit and take a dip.
Oh,
The water is cool and refreshing.
What a delight to be here.
It's time to come out now.
I'm going to take my mat out again and just relax for a while along the bank.
Ah,
Just lying back and listening to the water come crashing down.
There is something so beautiful and serene about this place.
I feel so at peace now and a little sleepy after that swim if I'm being honest.
Well,
It's time for me to get some sleep and I guess you too.
So as you slowly drift away,
Have yourself a great sleep and see you next time for another in the series sleep stories with Jean B.
Bye now.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.

Thank you.
