Welcome to the Comfort and Peace Holiday Meditation.
Take a moment to settle your body.
Make sure you're comfortable.
Place your feet on the floor,
Your hands gently in your lap.
Gently close the eyes.
Take a moment to take a deep inhale and a long exhale.
And again,
Inhale.
And as you exhale,
Soften your body.
And then inhale.
And long exhale,
Following your breath all the way to the end.
Following the sensation of the breath in the body.
All right.
We're gonna transition to as we breathe in through the nose,
Hearing a whisper of the word comfort on the in-breath and the word peace on the out-breath.
You'll whisper these words in your mind with a soft,
Kind inner voice.
As you continue with a warm awareness,
Your body will soften even more and your sense of relaxation will grow.
So again,
A very soft whisper of comfort on the inhale and peace on the exhale.
SNAP.
Ety.
.
.
.
.
Alright,
We'll let go of those words as our anchor.
And before we end this practice,
Bring up an image in your mind of a person,
Place,
Or memory that brings you joy.
Get a sense of what sensation this image brings up in your body.
Maybe lightness,
Maybe expansiveness,
Maybe a smile,
Maybe it deepens your breath,
Maybe it softens your body.
See if you can expand whatever positive sensation you are experiencing.
Now let that go.
Let's check in with our bodies.
Feel your feet planted on the floor.
Sense the temperature of the room.
And slowly and gently flutter your eyes open.
I hope this brief meditation put you in a bright,
Warm mood for this holiday season.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
