We're going to take our attention up from our head and down to our heart.
Sometimes it helps to bring your hand close to your forehead and then imagine bringing your energy down with your hand into your heart center and placing your hand on your heart.
This will help activate your parasympathetic nervous system which will help bring you natural feelings of relaxation and bring your body back into balance.
Keeping your attention in your heart center,
See if you can pull up a positive emotion such as gratitude or joy.
No need to think about it too much,
Just seeing if you can feel those feelings while keeping your attention in your heart center.
Now let's begin our box breathing.
We're going to breathe in for four,
Hold for four,
And exhale for four.
In for four,
Hold for four,
Exhale for four.
In for four,
Hold for four,
Exhale for four,
Hold for four.
Inhale for four,
Hold for four,
Exhale for four.
