The Let Go of Stress Meditation.
Hello friend.
If you clicked on this meditation,
You likely have some stress you'd like to let go of.
Let's work on that now.
On a scale of 1 to 10,
Rate how stressed you're feeling now.
Just make a mental note.
All right.
Now let's begin by getting our body ready for our meditation.
We're going to start out by squeezing all of our muscles as tightly as we can for 10 seconds.
So squeezing our arms,
Engaging our legs,
Squeezing the booty,
Squeezing the toes,
Squeezing maybe your fingers,
Everything tightening,
Tightening,
Holding,
Squeezing your abs,
Everything tighten and release.
Let that go.
And then let's take one hand in front of our forehead and put one hand directly behind our head.
And we're going to take three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
So inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
And inhale and exhale,
Letting it all go.
All right.
Now let's gently close our eyes.
Maybe rest your hands on your legs.
Let's feel our feet planted on the floor,
Really connected to the floor.
Let's relax our tongue on the floor of our mouth and then relax the eyes,
Relaxing the muscles next to the eyes,
Relaxing our eyebrows.
Now let's listen.
Listen for the sounds around us.
What can you hear that is louder?
Maybe you can hear some traffic in the distance.
Maybe you can hear your computer humming or your refrigerator.
Listen for the louder sounds that surround you.
Now let's listen for the more subtle sounds.
Maybe you can hear some air moving by,
Maybe even check into the sound of your heartbeat,
Checking in with the subtle sounds around you.
Now we're gonna start our meditation.
We'll ever so gently repeat the mantra,
Release,
In our heads.
So just a gentle whisper in the back of our mind,
Release,
Release.
And we'll continue this mantra for around seven minutes.
There in we go.
And as always,
If you forget to repeat the word release,
Or you start thinking,
We're just gently bringing our attention back to the word release.
Once again,
We when we begin to repeat the word release we're gonna start talking about.
