Hello and welcome to our meditation.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Meditation is a way to help your body and your mind feel calm and relaxed.
There are so many different ways that we can meditate.
In our meditation today we will be doing a visualization meditation and that just means that we will be closing our eyes and using our imagination.
For this one you will be imagining yourself in your very own special treehouse designed especially for you.
I recommend listening to this meditation as often as you need to.
You can choose to listen to it first thing in the morning to start your day off in a good mood.
You can also listen to it before bed to help you relax but it is especially helpful to do this meditation whenever you want to feel calm.
When you are ready let's begin our meditation.
Start by finding a comfortable position.
You can do this meditation sitting or lying down.
Get nice and cozy and if you need to go and get anything to help you feel comfortable you can do that now.
If you need a pillow or blanket,
Socks or a sweater,
You can also bring your favorite stuffed animals to help you feel comfortable.
You can do this meditation on the floor,
On a chair,
On a couch or on a bed,
Wherever you think you'll be the most comfortable.
If you would like you can pause the meditation to give yourself time to get the things that you need to feel comfortable.
Okay now that you have everything that you need to help yourself feel comfortable you can lie down or sit in your comfy spot and we will begin our meditation.
Remember meditation doesn't mean that you have to sit perfectly still the entire time.
Meditation is all about finding that calm place inside you.
So feel free to adjust or switch your position if you get uncomfortable.
If you get itchy go ahead and scratch it.
If you need to stretch or wiggle feel free to do that anytime and even if it's halfway through the meditation and you wish that you are a little more comfortable feel free to switch your position.
When you are comfortable allow your eyes to gently close and I want you to bring your attention to your breath.
Breathing in and out gently.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out.
Take another deep breath in and let it out.
One more deep breath in and breathe out.
If you notice yourself getting distracted or thinking of other things during your meditation just remember that is perfectly normal and it happens to everyone especially when we are meditating at home because we might have pets and family around us.
We might hear noises or people talking and that's totally okay because it's easy to bring your attention back to your meditation.
All you have to do is listen to the music and listen to my voice and just take a few deep breaths to help your body relax even more.
Let's take another deep breath in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
One more time breathe in and breathe out.
Now with your eyes closed you can start to use your imagination.
Imagine that you are walking through a meadow of tall grass.
The grass is soft as you walk through it and gently run your hands through it as you pass by.
You can imagine that there are thousands of tiny little flowers in the meadow all around you and these flowers are all different shapes and sizes and colors so you can imagine your favorite flowers and your favorite colors and you can imagine their beautiful fragrance as you walk past them.
You look up at the sky and it is a beautiful bright blue color with a few white fluffy clouds passing by.
The Sun is shining down and it feels warm and comforting.
You notice that all around this big meadow there are trees circling the grass like a perfect border these trees are tall and bright green.
You can begin to walk towards the trees and you finally see your favorite tree with a big treehouse at the top of it.
You walk up to the tree with the treehouse and you take a good look at it.
It is high up in the treetops.
You notice a ladder or steps or stairs that lead up to the treehouse.
You can also imagine that there is an elevator if you like.
So you begin your way up the tree towards your treehouse.
The ladder or stairs or elevator winds around the big strong tree trunk and you get higher and higher amongst all of the trees.
When you get to the top of the treehouse you can walk inside and see all of the wood that was used to make this special place for you.
You begin to walk around and you notice all of the little nooks and crannies and special places and you can use your imagination to create a special safe and comfortable place for yourself.
Remember this treehouse is designed exactly how you would want it.
Maybe you notice that there is a hammock to lay in or maybe a beanbag chair or perhaps there are lots of comfy pillows and blankets in the corner.
Maybe there are twinkle lights above you and you can imagine all of your favorite books to read and all of your favorite activities to do.
Imagine looking out through a big window in the treehouse and you can see the large meadow way down below you.
You can see all of the tiny pretty flowers that you noticed before and when you look around you can see all of the neighboring trees standing tall and still beside you.
They are quiet and peaceful.
Now you can take a moment to relax in your special treehouse.
Get comfortable and enjoy the peacefulness that the trees and nature bring you.
And as you imagine yourself comfortable and relaxed in your very own special treehouse,
I want you to repeat the following words after me.
You can either say them out loud or quietly in your mind but as you are comfortable in your special treehouse,
Repeat after me.
I am smart.
I am kind.
I am helpful.
I am friendly.
I am nice.
I am fun.
I am silly.
I am funny.
I am beautiful.
I am special.
I am amazing.
I am awesome.
Let's take a deep breath in and let it out.
Breathe in again and let it out.
One more time breathe in and smile as you breathe out.
You can now begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
You can stretch your body and you can open your eyes.
