This is a short grounding meditation which will help bring you back to the present moment.

Find a quiet place where you can sit for a moment either on a chair or a meditation cushion.

Let your hands rest gently in your lap or at your side.

If it feels comfortable gently close your eyes.

Bring your attention to your body sitting on the chair or cushion.

Notice where your body presses into the chair or cushion.

Slowly,

Gently and with kindness bring your attention to your breath.

Do three full deep breaths and with each in-breath allow it to gently fill your lungs with air and then on the out-breath breathing all the air out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Notice how you feel.

Bring your attention to your jaw and let your tongue soften and sit in the bottom palate of your mouth.

Allow the full length of your tongue to soften.

Gently breathe into this area for three breaths.

Now bring your attention to your shoulders.

Breathe into this area and as you breathe out imagine that your shoulders are softening and you are breathing out any tension.

Do this for three more breaths.

If it feels comfortable bring a small half smile to your mouth.

Notice how you feel.

When you're ready open your eyes and come back into the room.

Simple and effective. Soothing voice. Even tho she says to find a quiet place, I was able to do this in the middle of a busy airport and find/ be at peace!

A short gentle practice to ground me for the day by getting in touch with my body and my mind! Many blessings to you for helping me do that for helping someone with an anxious mind. Start the day grounded!
