A Morning Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, As the sun rises, We lift our hearts to you. Thank you for the gift of this new day, For the breath in our lungs and the beating of our hearts. You are the creator of all things, The one who spoke light into existence, And we are in awe of your majesty. Lord, Grant us eyes to see your beauty in the dew-kissed grass, The blooming flowers and the faces of those we encounter. Help us recognize the sacredness of each moment, For every second is a chance to draw near to you. Jesus, Our Savior, Thank you for the cross, Where you bore our sins in shame. May we walk in the freedom of your forgiveness, Knowing that your grace covers us completely. Guide our steps today that we may reflect your love to others. Holy Spirit, Fill us with your presence. Teach us to listen to your still small voice, To discern your leading, And to surrender our plans to your perfect will. May our thoughts be aligned with yours, Our actions guided by your wisdom. Lord, We lift up our loved ones, Our family, Friends, And those in need. Wrap your arms around them, Comfort the brokenhearted, Heal the sick, And provide for the lonely. Use us as your vessels, That we may be conduits of your love. In the morning's silence, We offer our gratitude, Our fears, And our hopes. May your peace envelop us, And may we carry it with us throughout the day. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
