I am Jamaaluddin.

I would like to share with you how to handle pressure in mind and what is pressure and why mental pressure damages the conscious mind.

So let's look into what is pressure in mind.

It is when we compel the mind to do something which is beyond our capacity.

The conscious mind is the part of the mind with which we can engage.

The conscious mind is not the only part of our mind.

We have more deep subconscious mind.

The conscious mind originates out of information and intelligence we collect from the senses.

Whereas the subconscious mind originates from our emotions.

We can engage with the conscious mind through thoughts and reasoning.

Whereas we can engage with the subconscious mind through emotions and feelings.

The conscious mind is under pressure when we try to feel with it.

The same way the subconscious mind is under pressure when we try to reason and understand with it.

It is like using the wrong tool.

When we are agitated,

We try to use the conscious mind to feel our emotions and use our subconscious for reasoning.

This is a plain error.

This error of using the wrong tool is the main reason for pressure and stress in the mind.

When we are in error,

We try to understand through emotions and try to reason with feelings,

Which leads to stress and pressure in our mind.

Why Mental Pressure Damages the Conscious Mind?

The conscious mind cannot operate efficiently under pressure.

As we discussed,

The conscious mind originates from information and intelligence from our senses.

It needs stability and security to be attentive to its operations.

When we are under pressure in the mind,

It loses its stability and gets agitated.

An agitated mind cannot reason or understand clearly.

And this affects our ability to become self-aware.

How to Handle Pressure in Mind?

Securing the mind from getting agitated with pressure is the first step.

Unless the mind is secure,

We cannot handle the pressure.

To make the wandering mind secure,

You need to anchor the mind.

The practices that we do in meditation and contemplation are for securing the wandering mind in our physical form.

The physical form is the secure place where we have control over the mind.

When you have secured the mind,

The next step is to reconcile yourself with awareness.

Let the awareness heal your mind.

New awareness will direct you to the reality of your problems.

It will make you understand why you suffered.

It will help you retain yourself from influences.
