Was there a time in your life when you felt truly at peace?

A time when everything felt light?

Where you were free of tension and worry?

If no specific moment comes to mind,

That's completely okay.

Today we're going to create that feeling right here within your body and mind,

Through the power of meditation.

We'll be doing this while lying down,

So take a moment to find a space where you can get really comfortable,

Maybe on a yoga mat or a soft surface.

Grab any pillows or blankets you might want for extra support,

And as you settle in,

Allow yourself to be held by the earth beneath you.

Trust that you are fully supported,

That you are safe.

Now gently bring your attention to your jaw,

Let it soften.

Feel free to make any small movements,

Stretching or wiggling,

To release any tension that's stored there.

You are supported,

You are safe.

Then shift your awareness to your forehead,

Let it smooth and soften,

Let go of any tightness.

You don't need to hold on to anything right now,

Simply release and relax.

Now focus on your shoulders,

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

And sigh out through the mouth,

And let your shoulders sink into the ground beneath you.

Allow them to melt as though the weight of the world is being lifted off.

You are safe and you are supported.

Take another slow,

Steady breath in through the nose,

And as you exhale through the mouth,

Feel the tension dissolve,

Release and relax.

Next,

Place your hands gently on your belly,

Start to focus on your breathing in and out through your nose.

As you inhale,

Feel your abdomen expand,

Notice your chest,

Your abdomen expand,

Notice your hands rising as you fill your lungs.

And as you exhale,

Feel your stomach fall,

Releasing with each breath.

Let go of any remaining tension,

You are safe and you're supported.

Keep this gentle,

Rhythmic breathing going.

With every inhale,

Your body expands,

With every exhale,

It softens and relaxes.

Now I'd like you to imagine a time or place where you're completely felt at peace.

No worries,

No stresses,

No thoughts pulling you away,

Just you being.

And if you can't think of a specific time,

That's okay.

Instead,

Create a place of peace within your mind.

Perhaps you're by the ocean with the gentle sounds of the waves lapping against the shore.

Maybe you're in a quiet forest,

Surrounded by the whisper of leaves in the wind.

Or maybe you're on the top of a mountain,

Overlooking a breathtaking view.

Whatever your place of peace is,

Let it form clearly in your mind.

Let it be your sanctuary.

And just continue to breathe deeply.

Feeling the rise and fall of your abdomen.

The more you breathe,

The more vivid your place of peace becomes.

What do you see in this peaceful space?

What colors surround you?

What sounds fill the air?

What sensations do you feel against your skin?

Allow yourself to become fully immersed.

Each breath,

Each breath,

Each breath,

Each breath,

Each breath,

Each breath,

Each breath.

Each breath in brings more clarity to your vision.

And each breath out lets you sink deeper into relaxation.

You are safe,

You are safe,

You are supported.

Stay here for a moment.

Let your body and mind marinate in this peaceful feeling.

Breathe into it.

Absorb it fully.

Now,

As you breathe deeply,

A door begins to appear in this place.

It stands before you.

Inviting you to step through it.

Slowly making your way towards it.

Open the door and step into the bright white light.

Feel it envelop you as the door gently closes behind you.

Gradually,

The textures of the world around you start to return.

The light in the room,

The floor beneath you,

And the sounds surrounding you.

You are safe.

You are supported.

Take a slow breath in.

Sigh,

Let it go.

And releasing any final bits of tension.

And when you're ready,

Bring some gentle movement back into your body.

Wiggling your fingers.

Your toes.

Slowly blinking your eyes open.

Welcoming yourself back to the present moment.

And before you move away,

Take a moment to notice how you feel.

What sensations are alive within you.

Let yourself marinate in that moment.

Before you carry it with you in the rest of your day.

Thank you for sharing this meditation with me.

Remember,

Your place of peace is always available to you.

Whenever you need,

You can return to this space.

I'm always here to guide you back.

With love,

Jay.

Thank you.
