Let's get this 5 minute meditation started so please find a comfortable seated or lying down position.
If you prefer,
Eyes start to close,
If not,
Gaze at one thing with a soft gaze and just start to breathe for me,
Take some deep breaths in and some deep breaths out.
And as you breathe here,
Can you feel expansion?
Expansion in the belly,
The ribs,
The chest,
Feel your breath here,
Feel your body move as you breathe.
And on those exhales,
Just let it all go,
Let the breath go,
Let that tension in the jaw and the eyes go,
Let that thought go and welcome,
Welcome,
Welcome,
Welcome to this new day.
This is a moment to center yourself,
To find balance before stepping into the world.
So let's do that with our breath,
Let's do a little bit of box breathing.
To find that balance,
We're going to inhale for 4,
Hold for 4,
Exhale for 4,
And then hold for 4.
Let's take an exhale out the nose to prepare.

And we're going to repeat 3 affirmations to get us started for this day.
I am grounded and steady.
I move through today with ease and flow.
I am calm,
I am clear,
And I am centered.
And as you prepare to step into your day,
Just carry this balance,
This harmony with you.
No matter what unfolds today,
You can always return to this steady,
Centered place within.
Take a couple deep breaths,
Find an affirmation that sticks,
And ground yourself in the here and the now.
