This meditation is called letting go of and coming back to the objects of awareness.
One by one we shall let go of several elements that take us away from knowing ourself and see from our experience that these elements are made of ourself,
That there is nothing outside of you.
Take a deeper breath,
Hold it for several counts and then exhale and close your eyes.
Now the first element we let go of is time.
Let go of this idea,
Let go of past and future and just be here now.
The second element is relationships,
You are on your own.
The third element is objects,
There is no need to hold on to any objects you value or don't value.
Just let them go.
Now we are coming to the five senses starting with sight.
Your eyes are already closed but notice that there is a red orangey screen that you still see.
Let that be.
Notice that there are sounds apart from the sound of my voice.
Do not try and figure out what they are,
Just let them be.
Let them hit your eardrums without making sense of them through thought.
And there is the sense of smell.
Let that go.
What if you were to never use it again?
The taste,
Let that go as well.
The taste of your favorite food or the taste that you like in this life,
Let that all go.
Touch,
The touch of a loved one,
The touch of a leaf in the forest,
The touch of the wind across your skin.
Let those go.
Now notice that there are still some feelings probably in your body.
Let them go.
Who would you be without those feelings?
If there are any sensations,
Let them go as well.
There is the image of your body sitting or lying.
Let the image go and see what the body actually is in your experience.
Isn't it just a sensation floating in awareness?
Let that go.
Now what is left here are thoughts.
Let those go.
If you can stop thinking,
That's perfect.
If not,
Just let the thoughts be.
Just like the sounds.
It's probably movement.
Let movement go.
Be still.
If there's any movement like the breath,
Let it be.
The very idea of self,
Let that go.
The very concept of awareness or consciousness,
Let that go.
The idea of God,
Let that go.
And just be here now for a count of 10 breaths.
I said last time that you are in your registering,
So some of you all can.
When you are done.
Notice that the concept of God,
Consciousness,
Awareness,
All of these appear within infinite and ever-present awareness itself.
Since it is infinite,
The concepts,
Any concepts are made of awareness itself.
The concept of self is made of awareness.
Tuts appear within awareness.
There is no separate thinker.
Indeed they are made of awareness.
Movement happens within awareness and is therefore made of awareness.
The body is something that you are aware of.
And it is therefore not who you are,
It is a part of who you are.
A part that is made of you,
Awareness.
Feelings and sensations are exactly the same.
You cannot have a feeling or a sensation without the awareness of it.
The five senses beginning with touch.
When you touch something,
Is there two things?
Your body and something else?
Or is it one sensation within infinite awareness?
Taste appears in awareness and is made of awareness.
Smell is the same.
Sounds are infinitely close to you,
Awareness.
And they are made of you,
Awareness.
They appear in you and disappear in you.
Sight is just one appearance of the infinite.
It gives form to the formless and it is made of the formless.
Objects are happening because you are aware.
They are made of awareness.
Relationships happen within you.
And as such are made of you.
And time is a concept that thought creates out of the infinite and the eternal.
As such it cannot exist without awareness.
There is nothing outside of you.
This is not just a belief or a theory,
It is actually true.
