Welcome to my final Moon Meditation of 2024.
This time of year can often feel really hectic,
So I want to acknowledge the care you're giving yourself by choosing to be here and meditate.
As we begin,
Gently release everything that's happened today and bring your attention fully to this moment,
The one you have set aside just for your well-being.
Take a few deep breaths,
Allowing them to ground you and bring you fully into this peaceful space.
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in.
As you exhale,
Let go of any tension your body might be carrying,
And invite in a sense of peace and stillness.
The new Moon is a time of new beginnings.
It is a blank canvas to plant seeds of intention and embrace the unknown.
This new Moon in Capricorn aligns beautifully with the close of the year and invites you to reflect on what has been and envision what lies ahead with clarity and purpose.
Take a couple more intentional deep breaths now,
Grounding yourself once again in this moment.
Imagine yourself standing in a quiet,
Open field under a dark sky.
There is no light from the Moon,
But you might be able to sense the new Moon energy above.
You look up and see the velvety darkness of potential in the sky.
This is a space where anything is possible.
There are unlimited possibilities,
And you can really feel that right now.
The Earth feels rich and supportive beneath your feet,
And the air is filled with a quiet stillness,
Which is holding you and giving you a promise of transformation.
Take a moment to reflect on the year that is ending.
Without any judgement,
Allow the memories of 2024 come to the surface.
The lessons,
The challenges,
The achievements,
The moments of growth.
Picture these memories gently falling away,
Returning to the Earth like the fallen leaves of autumn,
Nourishing the soil for the seeds that you will plant today.
Your intentions of today are going to grow thanks to the memories of this year and all the work you put into your growth.
You might feel like you haven't progressed much this year,
But I want to reassure you that you have.
We're often far too hard on ourselves and our progress,
But life is not a race,
And if you reflect with care and self-compassion,
You'll see that there is so much to be proud of.
Even if it feels hard to see right now,
Trust me,
You have come so far.
Come back to the field that you are standing in now and look down and notice that in your hands you are holding a few seeds.
Each seed represents an intention for the coming year.
