Tuesday.
Find your feet.
Welcome.
I am Ipek Williamson.
The grounding truth for Tuesday is that the week has momentum.
You are in it now.
And sometimes,
In the middle of all that doing,
You might lose the thread back to yourself.
Today's reminder is simple for that reason.
Come back to your body.
It's been here the whole time,
Waiting for you.
We spend so much of our lives living from the neck up.
Planning,
Analyzing,
Worrying,
Scrolling,
Solving.
The mind is extraordinary.
And it is also exhausting when it runs without a break.
When it becomes the only place we live,
It's not easy.
Your body is not a vehicle for your head.
It is not just something that carries your brain from meeting to meeting.
It is wise.
It is intelligent.
It is actually the first place stress shows up.
Long before the mind consciously registers it.
Tight shoulders,
A shallow breath,
A clenched jaw.
You didn't notice until just now.
Grounding,
Coming back into the physical body,
Is one of the fastest ways to regulate your nervous system,
Reduce your anxiety and feel human again.
Not because it solves your problems,
But because a regulated body creates a clearer mind.
And a clearer mind makes much better decisions.
You can't think your way to be calm,
But you can breathe and feel your way there.
Tuesday is a great day to remember this.
The week is underway,
Your feet are on the ground.
Let's use that.
This is a one-minute grounding practice.
Do it wherever you are.
So,
Feel your feet.
Press them into the floor,
Gently but deliberately.
And notice the pressure.
The floor is pushing you back.
That's the earth meeting you.
Now,
Feel your seat,
The weight of your body in the chair or on the floor.
And let yourself be heavy.
Let the gravity do its job.
And now roll your shoulders back slowly once.
And let them drop.
Take a breath in through your nose.
And as you exhale,
Let your jaw go loose.
Let your tongue fall from the roof of your mouth.
And look around the room slowly.
Name in your mind three things you can actually see right now.
Just notice.
This is here.
That is here.
I am here.
And feel your feet again.
You are back.
So,
Let's close with an affirmation.
I am in my body.
I am in this moment.
I am grounded.
And I am here.
And carry that with you today,
Will you?
And I'll see you tomorrow.
