Just as the water reflects the stars and the moon,
The body reflects the mind and soul.
Rumi Welcome to the August Sturgeon Full Moon Meditation.
Let's begin by sitting in a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to settle into the space you're in.
You can close your eyes,
Or instead,
You can take a moment to softly gaze ahead of you,
Just for now,
Noticing the gentle light and shapes around you.
Now,
Bring your focus to your breath.
We will take three long and deep breaths and prepare ourselves to go deeper into a meditative state.
Start with the first deep breath and inhale through your nose.
And now exhale through your mouth.
Inhale again through your nose deeply.
And exhale all the way.
Third and last time,
Take a long and deep breath through your nose.
And exhale,
Emptying your lungs all the way.
Now you can go ahead and close your eyes if you haven't already.
And allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
We will ground ourselves using the Earth Pulse grounding technique.
Imagine the steady rhythmic pulse of the Earth beneath you,
Like a gentle heartbeat.
With each breath,
Feel this pulse resonating up through the soles of your feet,
Moving upward through your legs,
And filling your entire body with a steady grounding energy.
This pulse connects you deeply to the Earth,
Bringing stability and calmness to your entire being.
Now feel the soft glow of the full moon shining down on you.
If you are under the night sky,
Literally,
If not,
In your imagination,
See it filling your space with its gentle,
Silvery light.
This is the energy of the sturgeon,
Rich with abundance,
Transformation and spiritual renewal.
As the light touches your skin,
Feel it merging with the Earth's pulse within you,
Creating a powerful synergy of energies that aligns your spirit with the Universe.
As you sit in this harmonious energy,
Reflect on the abundance present in your life.
Consider the growth,
The blessings,
And the lessons you have encountered.
Allow yourself to feel deep gratitude for all these gifts.
Notice how this gratitude amplifies the energy around you,
Making it even more vibrant and powerful.
Spend a few more moments in this space,
Absorbing the combined energies of the Earth and the Moon,
Feeling them harmonize within you,
Filling you with peace and the sense of purpose.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
I invite you to slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the present.
Notice the sensations in your body,
The feeling of the Earth beneath you,
And the rhythm of your breath.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of harmony and grounded energy with you.
