Welcome to this chakra-focused meditation.
During this meditation,
We'll do a full body scan and think about the qualities that each of the seven main chakras represent.
The best place for your body is to be laying down,
Spread out,
Taking up space.
Allow yourself to feel comfortable.
So take a few moments.
You can even put a pillow behind your head or a pillow under your knees.
You can do this laying in bed,
On your yoga mat,
Wherever feels right for you.
With the body fully supported,
Come into stillness.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Slowly exhale out of your mouth.
Take another deep breath in through your nose.
Slowly exhale out of your mouth.
Bring all of your focus to the bottoms of your feet,
Your legs,
Your ankles,
Your knees.
All of the energy that starts at the top of the hips and goes all the way down to your toes.
Can you feel that energy in your legs as you rest here?
Can you imagine that this energy is a beautiful color red?
This energy allows you to feel secure and safe.
You connect with the earth as you lay here,
Focusing on your legs.
You remind yourself that you have a right to be here.
It is safe for you to be here.
Feeling the energy in the legs and that beautiful color red flowing up and down,
You remember that the earth supports you.
You remember that you love your body and you remember that you can trust the body's wisdom.
Take a few deep breaths,
Imagining the red light from the bottom of the feet all the way to the of the legs.
Connect to the earth.
Connect to your physical being.
You have the right to be here.
Now start to bring your awareness to your hips,
Your lower back,
Your lower belly.
Feel a beautiful orange light swirling around,
Maybe starting from the back of the hips to the front or the front of the hips to the back.
The energy is flowing just like water.
And from this beautiful orange light,
You feel your creativity.
You feel your pleasure.
You notice what it's like to have joy in the little things in life.
And it feels comfortable with the emotions,
With your feelings.
Feel this from the tip of the tailbone,
Below the belly button.
Beautiful orange light swirling around your hip,
Flowing like water.
You are creative.
You have the right to feel.
Your emotions are valid.
And you deserve pleasure.
Now start to bring your awareness right into the belly,
The solar plexus,
The core,
The middle of the back.
A beautiful yellow light flowing around.
Here you feel your strength,
Your fire,
Your ambition,
Your own agency to make decisions in your life.
You know how to handle stress.
You know you can improve your relationships.
You have the right to act.
You have the right to choose.
See that yellow whirling energy,
That fire through your whole belly,
Your whole back.
You have the power within you,
Your tenacity,
Your resilience.
That fire burns through any blocks.
Let that fire grow.
You have the right to act.
And now start to focus on your heart,
Your chest,
Your lungs,
The sides of the ribs,
From the bottom of the collarbone to your lowest rib.
A beautiful green energy is swirling around in that chest cavity.
It feels light,
The element of air.
This is your right to love and be loved.
Notice that with each breath,
With each expansion,
That air,
That green light of energy flowing through your heart.
Let yourself take a few deep breaths here.
Notice the compassion,
The inner peace that you can create.
You are worthy of love.
Feel that green energy right in your chest.
Let yourself forgive.
Let yourself love and be loved.
Start to focus on your throat.
Even your ears,
Your mouth,
Your neck,
Your shoulders.
Beautiful blue energy.
The sound.
Open your ears.
Maybe even let a sigh out of your mouth.
Notice that blue energy and your right to speak.
And your right to hear the truth.
Imagine that blue energy flowing through your ears,
To your mouth,
To your neck,
To your shoulders,
Landing right in the base of your throat,
Where we create sound from.
Allow yourself to express.
Remember that your voice is necessary.
You speak the truth.
You deserve to hear the truth.
Let that blue energy flow.
Now coming in to your third eye,
Your forehead,
The base of your skull,
Your eyebrows.
Purple energy,
Purple light.
The element of light,
Of awakening.
This is our right to see.
Our third eye opens us up to our intuition.
Our eyes allow us to see what's in front of us.
It allows us to be discerning.
It allows us to know what is real.
So envision that purple light flowing from your third eye,
To your forehead,
Your temples,
Your skull,
Over to your eyes,
The top of your nose.
Allow yourself to open up to your wisdom within.
Allow yourself to experience the world with clarity.
You have the right to see.
You have the right to know what is real.
You have the right to be discerning.
So focus that third eye energy on that beautiful purple light.
And it's coming to the top of your head,
Outside of your body.
Your right to know the lightest purple light flowing from the crown of the head,
Your head,
Your thoughts,
What we learn,
How we connect,
Not only to ourselves,
But the world around us.
Not only to ourselves,
But the universe.
Our connection to nature,
Our connection to others,
Our connection to the divine.
So from the top of the head,
All of those thoughts and that beautiful light purple energy.
Imagine that light purple flowing from the crown of your head and flowing down to surround your entire body.
From your feet,
Where we feel stillness,
Stable and secure.
From our hips,
Where we feel emotions,
Creativity,
Pleasure.
From our belly,
Where we tap into our power.
From our heart,
Where we connect to compassion,
Forgiveness,
And love.
To our throat,
Where we remember we have the right and the capacity to express ourselves.
And to our third eye,
Being deeper,
Knowing our own inner wisdom,
Trusting our intuition.
All the way to the crown of the head,
Our connection to the world beyond us.
That light purple flowing around.
Scan your chakras from the bottoms of the feet,
The crown of the head.
Notice your own energy.
Where does it flow freely?
How do you feel?
Take a nice deep breath in and a slow exhale out.
Start the movement from the bottoms of the feet.
Move slowly up your body all the way to the crown of the head.
Blink open the eyes.
Take one more full breath and let yourself re-enter your day.
