In order to let go of anger we first need to understand what it is. We then have to accept that it is something we create within ourselves, and therefore it is totally within our power to remove it. Raja Yogi Yogesh Sharda empowers us to identify our unmet needs and, how when we address them, anger no longer has to be either felt or expressed.

I begin by once again asking myself the first question,

Who am I behind the roles and responsibilities of daily life,

Behind the masks,

The labels,

And the identities I carry?

Who am I?

For a few moments,

I choose to step back from all of those labels and masks.

I want to experience being with my true self.

I want to experience the peace which lies at the very core of my consciousness.

I even realize that my physical body,

Amazing though it is,

A wonderful machine,

But yet it too is a vehicle,

Costume,

That I use in order to express myself,

To be self-aware.

I bring my attention up to the center of my forehead.

And once again,

I picture myself as this star of peaceful energy,

Gently radiating peaceful light from the center of the forehead.

I remember the eternal phrase,

Om Shanti.

Om reminds me of I,

The eternal self,

I,

The deathless self,

I,

The non-physical energy.

And when I am aware of this,

My true identity,

The natural result is the experience of shanti,

Which is peace,

Silence,

Stillness.

As I remember my true and original form,

I,

The self,

I,

The soul,

I am light,

I am eternal.

I naturally experience the quality of peace emerging from deep within me,

From deep within the very core of I,

The soul.

To be aware of my true self is to once again regain my control over my thoughts,

Over my words and my actions.

I choose to keep this awareness,

I,

The eternal self.

During the day,

I choose to play roles,

I carry out responsibilities,

And I maintain relationships.

I always remember,

I,

The soul,

I play a role,

Not the role.

I am peace,

I am light,

I am eternal.

I am living,

Non-physical,

Spiritual,

Spiritual energy.

To stay in this awareness is to stay in true self-respect.
