Welcome.
Before the world asks anything of you,
Before you check your phone,
Your to-do list,
Your calendar,
This is your time to return,
To remember,
To begin your day from within.
Take a moment to settle.
Let your spine be soft,
Let your face be gentle.
No holding,
No fixing,
Just being.
Gently soften down your eyes until they eventually close.
Feel your body,
Feel the earth beneath you.
Let your attention melt down into your sitting bones,
Into the surface that holds you.
Notice your breath,
Without changing anything,
Just feel into the rhythm.
Notice as you inhale and exhale,
And with each breath soften a little more,
The jaw,
The shoulders,
The skin on your face,
Soften through your belly and let it all go.
Now bring one hand to your heart and the other to your low belly.
Feel the warmth of your own touch.
Feel how your body responds to presence,
To care,
To the simple act of coming home.
Let your breath move you,
Let it rock you gently like waves on the shore.
Let the breath guide you back into your own rhythm,
The rhythm that existed long before you were ever told to be anything else.
Inhale,
I am here.
Exhale and that is enough.
Again inhale,
I am here.
Exhale and that is enough.
Notice what happens when you don't try to be productive or perfect or presentable.
Notice what awakens in the quiet.
Perhaps there is a whisper,
Perhaps there is nothing,
Both are welcome.
Now gently bring your awareness to your heart,
The space behind the ribs,
The part of you that feels,
That longs fiercely,
That knows without words.
Let this heart be seen by you,
You don't need to open it to the world yet,
Trust to yourself.
Offer this heart one phrase,
A morning prayer of sorts,
Soft,
Sacred,
Yours.
You can repeat after me or whisper your own.
Today I will stay close to myself.
Today I will move slowly.
Today I will remember what matters.
Let that land in your body,
Like morning dew on the soft grass,
No need to hold it,
Just receive it,
Breathe it in.
Now gently bring your awareness back to the space around you,
Wiggle your fingers,
Sense the light around you and softly,
In your own time,
Gently let your eyes blink open,
Letting the outside world back in.
Thank you for joining me today,
Thank you for showing up for yourself,
May you carry some of this presence with you into your day,
Sending love and light.
