Welcome to the self-love meditation.
Self-love is your greatest self-defense to self-acceptance.
You have likely heard that self-love is an important thing for your well-being.
Often we're troubled with how to get there.
This meditation will help to guide you to understanding self-love and what it feels like.
Let's not wait any time.
You need this.
Let's go ahead and begin.
In a comfortable seated position or laying down,
Simply close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs,
And exhale all the way out.
Settle into your space and bring your awareness to your body.
Bring your attention to your forehead and soften and relax.
Bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows and simply soften.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling up your lungs,
And exhale all the way out.
Open your face,
Unhinge your jaw,
And begin to shimmy your shoulders down away from your ears.
Soften.
Relax.
Relax your arms into your lap or by your sides and let them feel heavy.
Begin to bring your awareness to your chest and take a deep breath in and exhale all the way out.
Open your legs and let your feet feel light,
Allowing your body to be calm,
Relaxed,
And soft.
In this moment,
I invite you to bring your awareness to a person you love so freaking much.
I'm talking about the love that moves you to tears.
Let this person come so clearly into your focus.
You can see their radiant soul,
Their beaming smile,
Their hair,
Clothes,
And just the thought and picture of them lights you up inside.
This connection,
This love is like no other.
And in this moment,
Imagine as if they're standing right before you and reach out and grab their hands.
As you hold onto both of their hands,
Imagine looking deeply into their eyes.
These are the most warm,
Inviting,
And loving eyes you've ever known.
It makes you want to weep with joy because the love is so immense.
As you hold their hands,
I want you to say to them,
I love you.
As the words leave your mouth,
Their face lights up with joy,
They can truly feel it.
Imagine letting go of their hands and bring them in for a big,
Long,
Tight embrace.
This is the embrace you've been needing.
This love truly heals all.
And as you let go of your embrace,
I want you to imagine and invite them to sit down right next to you.
Let them sit right beside you.
They're your support.
They're your reminder of love.
And in this moment,
I invite you to see yourself standing before you.
Picture your clothes you have on today,
Your hair,
Your beautiful features,
Eyes.
It's as if you're standing right in front of a mirror.
Imagine reaching out and grabbing your own hands.
And as you hold onto your hands,
Tell yourself what you need to hear today.
Tell yourself that I love you with the same passion you had for the person sitting next to you.
Allow yourself in this moment to embrace yourself and give yourself a hug,
Letting yourself know how deeply you love who you truly are.
Release from your embrace and allow the image of yourself to sit down right next to you.
You have a united front of love.
In the next moments of blissful silence,
Allow yourself to focus on the love that is within and around you.
That's all you need.
You You You Allow the sound of my voice to bring you back Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes And when you're ready feel free to open your eyes Take a deep breath in and exhale out It is so easy to forget to love yourself I hope this meditation was a reminder that the way we love others is the same way we can love ourselves Self-love is the freedom to be who you are Onward and upward You
