My name is Monica Reid and I'm the founder of Ingenium in Movement.
Thank you so much for joining us today.
This section is about grounding.
We're going to be using meditation,
Breath,
And the wonderful sound and healing powers of the ancient Tibetan bowls to find our ground,
To find that clarity,
That focus,
That connection that sometimes we feel that is missing because the outside world might be really overwhelming because there are constant inputs coming our way and we lose our centre,
We lose the direction,
We lose the sense of knowing where we're going.
So these times more than ever is really important to allow this healing and connection time to find our ground,
To find that foundation,
That stability,
That sense of being solid within our ground,
Within our feet.
So we're going to start with finding a comfortable seated position,
Whether it is seated on a bolster as I am today or you can use a block or you can use a cushion or a blanket,
Whatever you have handy at home.
Proselytic position might be recommendable but any variation that you would like to go for that allows you to have a nice relaxed and neutral spine,
Relaxing your shoulders and closing the eyes that I'm facing up,
Willing to receive.
And we're going to start drawing the attention within.
First and foremost to the physical body,
Allowing the awareness to sense if there are any parts of the body that feel at ease,
If there's any tension,
Any rigidity,
Any tightness going on.
Not really aim to change or to challenge that but to be okay with that is to receive and open this conversation with your body.
Becoming aware of your surroundings,
Of the sounds of my voice,
To draw the attention even deeper.
As we get more connected and the attention draws inwards,
Now is the time to bring the breath to play.
Tuning towards the inflow of inhalation and the outflow of exhalation,
That beautiful dance between the expansion,
The action and the letting go,
The surrender.
That is the breath that is live itself.
As you inhale,
Feel how your spine lengthens,
Your timing rises,
Your ribcage expands,
Bringing your sense of openness,
Of possibility,
Of expansion,
Activating your body,
Activating your whole being.
As you exhale,
Allowing your body to melt a little bit further towards the bolster,
Towards the floor that is supporting you,
Grounding a little bit deeper.
Allowing that exhalation to also start washing down whatever the tensions,
The tightness that are arising mentally,
Physically or emotionally.
We're going to now inhale through the nose all the way.
As we exhale,
We're going to exhale through the mouth,
Making a HA sound.
Allowing the release to happen,
Supporting the release process.
We'll do that twice again.
Inhale in deeply,
Exhaling fully.
One last time.
Inhale in deeply,
Exhaling fully.
Feeling the spaciousness and the lightness that we are creating.
Any of the mild wonders at any time.
Acknowledge and be grateful that you are aware of that happening and knowing that you have the breath to return to as an anchor to the present moment.
We're going to now bring the awareness to our third eye,
Our pineal gland,
The space between the eyebrows to bring calmness and ease to our heads,
To our minds.
Directing the drishti,
The sight to that point in the middle of the head.
Imagining our beautiful golden light expanding and spinning from the centre of your head.
First,
Annihilating all your head but then also expanding all the way around.
Blessing you with a sense of loneliness,
Protection,
Safety and compassion.
Now that light to wash you over,
Follow your body from the shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Your torso,
Your back,
Your tummy,
Your hips,
Your tail,
Your legs,
All the way to your knees.
Providing these beautiful warm pieces of clothing around you to protect you and make you feel safe.
Knowing that all you need is within you.
As the golden healing light is activated,
Now we're going to take a journey to our deepest state of consciousness using visualisation.
Imagine that you are in the middle of the forest and there's a path and that path takes you to a clearing.
That clearing is a beautiful lake,
The sun is shining,
It's warming up your skin,
Warming up your body.
Beautiful trawl and solid trees are around that lake.
You start observing the lake,
The tranquil and safe waters,
They're very flat,
They're very quiet,
Very peaceful.
You'll hear the surface,
The colour of the water is light blue but as you look further down you'll see that there's plenty of life there as well,
There's plants,
There are fishes and the light changes,
The colour changes.
Then imagine a pebble and you becoming that pebble.
That pebble starts coming down first and foremost touching the surface of the water,
Temperature changes,
The colour changes.
As a pebble,
You as a pebble start sinking down,
Further down towards the lake allowing yourself to sink,
To go deeper towards the waters,
Feeling supported,
Feeling contained,
Temperature changing,
The colours are changing and you're taking this journey deeper within you.
The waters are supporting you during this process and as we connect deeper within ourselves now we're going to bring awareness to your tail,
To your chakra,
That space of security,
Your safety nets,
Your foundation.
They might feel really shaken in times of change and uncertainty allowing that golden light that is surrounding you right now to come and activate that area,
The groin,
Your tail,
Allowing you to see and experience that all the security,
All the certainty that you are seeking for,
Released within you.
And if you feel challenged,
If you feel overwhelmed by the sudden stimulus,
You can always come back to your foundation,
To the quantum sensation,
Like a tree finding its roots through the soil,
Feeling solid,
Feeling strong.
Next we're going to move towards the sacred chakra area just below your navel and we kneel for men,
We warm for women,
Space for sacred sexuality.
Your divas desires,
Your creativity,
Giving yourself permission to experience and to hear what are those desires that ignite your fire.
And through that connection,
Through your root chakra,
That foundation,
Travelling all the way up to your sephiro connecting with your desires,
We're going to now activate your solar plexus,
Your inner sun,
Your inner radiance,
Your determination,
Your willpower,
Your ability to make things happen.
When you feel safe,
When you feel strong and you know what desires are arising from within,
Then you have the ability to connect with that inner sun,
With that strength within you to bring them to life.
Reminding yourselves that this is your inner journey,
Connecting with your existence,
Strength and wisdom.
They are there for you,
Supporting you all the time.
And through the activation of the lower chakras,
That foundation element within you is strong,
Your source.
You have been reminders of that inner guidance system that is within you.
The only thing that is needed is for you to turn inwards and recommend.
Start deepening your breath,
Bringing awareness back towards your physical body.
Once you're ready,
Start wiggling your toes and your fingers,
Easing your way back to the present moment.
And once you're ready,
As you inhale,
Lifting your arms all the way up,
Stretching your fingertips and exhaling through the mouth,
Grounding your energy back to your centre,
Back to yourself.
Inhaling up,
Exhaling,
Inhaling up,
Exhaling,
Keeping that soft gaze to start with,
Opening the eyes,
Calling all the way back.
Make sure that you drink plenty of water and allowing yourself some quiet time after this,
As the sound will keep working within you and messages and insights will be reaching you as well.
