Transmuting Fear Into Love (Live: Replay No. 6)
by Philip Wade
All the spiritual power you ever needed is already within. What if you could access it with ease and grace if you knew how? With profound insight, Philip explains how the life-transforming effects of the power of our awareness alone is enough to dissolve all the emotional trauma and challenges that emerge. He takes you on a step-by-step journey to recognise and use this awareness. A guided experience is included. This approach has transformed the lives of many people around the world.

Good,
So welcome.
So this is stream 4 of 11 of the 11th part of the song.
I'm going to be talking about the first part of the 12th part of the song.
I'm going to be talking about the first part of the 12th part of the song.
This one relates to the most common question,
Easily the most common question I get,
To do with this whole process.
It's about moving beyond and through the emotional trauma,
The emotional challenges and the difficulties that we face in everyday life.
I entitled this process transmuting fear into love.
For good reason.
Because really when you get down to the core levels of the human experience,
Although we have many labels for emotions that we experience,
They're all derivatives,
It turns out,
From the sense of inner separation that emerges from identification,
Belief in the identification,
In what I call the case of mistaken identity,
That all you are is the body-mind.
This creates an inner sense of separation,
Of something missing in life,
And that creates the polarities that we experience.
In the human domain,
Those two polarities in an emotional sense,
We could refer to fear and love.
All other emotions are simply derivatives of that sense of polarity that stem from this fear.
Welcome,
Karen,
From somebody from Down Under in Australia.
I'm glad that somebody's made it.
It must be quite early there.
So that's why it's called transmuting fear into love,
Because the ultimate fear that we face in the self-realisation process,
The greatest fear of the ego mind,
Is its fear of its own demise,
Its fear of death,
Essentially.
It equates the letting go or the dissolution of the identity with death,
And it equates that with the death of the body vehicle.
Death,
From the human mind perspective,
Is the great unknown.
But as I was saying on the last stream,
It's actually an entry portal to dissolving this fear,
It's an entry portal to the realisation of the self.
So this whole process,
As I've explained,
Therefore,
Is called transmuting fear into love.
Love is really,
As I've explained on the previous streams,
Is simply like a perfume of the infinite silence or the infinite awareness.
We also refer to it as grace,
Gratitude,
Joy.
These kinds of words are actually all different words for really pointing out that same essence,
That same perfume arising.
And it's through the realisation of that essence that we get to experience that on an ongoing basis.
Indeed,
Vereena,
Death does indeed equal rebirth,
But not necessarily in a physical body,
But the rebirth,
Or in fact,
More accurately,
The remembering or realisation of that which we truly are.
And so this emotional body,
We have a physical body and there are various energetic levels,
That one of which is the emotional body,
Gets built up over time from the conditioning that we have experienced.
Right from indeed,
Even from the moment you're in the womb,
Really,
That can be going on energetically and spiritually speaking.
But certainly the moment you're born into the body,
Then you start to become identified with it.
And experiences happen through childhood,
Adolescence into adulthood.
And all of these are building upon layers upon layers of identity,
But also energetic memory in the body.
And everybody here,
I'm sure,
Has experienced this and been triggered by certain situations in life.
And those triggers arise because we're carrying around energetically,
Spiritually speaking,
An energy field in the body that is still so heavily identified with that.
And when something of a similar vibrational resonance or similar set of circumstances arises,
These triggers actually trigger the emotional body and can be there right in front of us before we've even realised what's going on.
And unlike the conditioning that we may have experienced,
And it might depend a little bit where you are in the world,
Certainly if you're here in the UK,
One of the parts of the conditioning is that emotions are bad.
You get this idea,
You know,
There'll be things that might be said to you as a child,
Stop crying or I'll give you something to cry about,
For instance,
Is quite a common one here in the UK for children.
It might be in other parts of the world as well.
So we get this idea from quite an early age that emotions aren't good.
And yet,
Actually,
In truth,
They're just a function of this case of mistaken identity and in themselves.
Actually,
I always refer to them as invitations.
Invitations.
So when an emotion arises,
Whether whether we label it fear,
Shame,
Guilt,
Which is something that we looked at last time,
Whatever emotion,
Sadness or whatever,
What it's doing,
It's not saying,
You know,
I want to get rid of this.
It's actually an invitation to say,
Look,
You've been carrying this energy around inside energetically.
It's time to let it go.
It's time to let it go,
To let it dissolve.
So then the big question comes around that.
Well,
Well,
How?
You know,
How?
Because,
You know,
They seem can seem so challenging and so troublesome,
Especially when one is in the depths of it.
And especially also if one is deeply triggered or in challenging circumstances.
So the process.
And the answer to that is actually ultimately profoundly.
Simple.
It's profoundly simple.
And I'm going to share with you a key insight here that you might want to even jot down.
Because it's within this sentence and insight I'm about to give you really ultimately is everything that you need to know about what we're going to spend the next sort of hour and a quarter on here,
Which is transmuting fear into love.
I'll be unpacking this insight over the course of that and we'll have a guided experience.
So get ready for this.
The insight is this.
Thought cannot heal your pain.
Presence will transform it.
I'll say that again.
Thought cannot heal your pain.
Presence will transform it.
Within those few words is really everything you need to know about transmuting fear into love.
We won't get there by coming at it from the mind and analysing and beating ourselves up.
As I explored last time,
The ego mind is the judge,
Jury and executioner.
Coming at the emotional body and the trauma embodied that we're carrying around from the space of mind,
From the space of thought,
From the space of belief is absolutely and utterly and completely pointless.
Absolutely,
Utterly and completely pointless.
You will never dissolve the emotional body from that space.
So thought cannot heal your pain.
First part of the insight.
And by the way,
Just another reminder,
You don't need to believe anything I say about anything to do with Self Realisation,
Because as it is realised,
It becomes self evident and this self is the infinite self or the infinite silence or the infinite consciousness.
So thought,
An analysis from thought,
It may have limited benefit and what we're looking at here is infinite benefit,
Infinite resolution,
Realisation,
Dissolution.
So that's the first part of the insight.
Thought cannot heal your pain.
And then it goes on to say presence will transform it.
Presence will transform it.
So what is presence?
What is presence?
Presence,
It turns out,
My friends,
Is that which you truly are.
Indeed,
Already are.
Never have you not been this,
Even though you may have forgotten it.
And always will be this.
Presence,
Spiritually speaking,
Is another word for,
And I'm going to give you a number of words for this,
Infinite silence.
That's the terms that emerged in the realisation that flowered here.
Infinite consciousness,
Same.
Infinite awareness,
True self,
Essence,
Source.
That's what presence is.
And you are that.
You are that.
And you have never not been that.
And the whole journey that we experience in realising the self is about coming to the realisation that that which you have been seeking for lifetimes is actually that which you already are.
That's what presence is.
And you may remember,
And I'm going to take you there again shortly.
The recognition exercises for presence.
We'll come to that in a moment.
To recognise this presence,
Because the process ultimately,
Although it will feel like a journey and a process to you,
As you first open to this,
Actually it becomes,
And indeed truly is,
Ultimately effortless and requires no input from the thinking mind and no actual physical effort or concentration.
It just simply requires an allowing.
And that's not an effort.
I just want to check what Vereena is saying here.
Where does one position the concept that energy follows thought?
This is a strong one for me to let go of.
Kick it out.
So actually here,
You know,
Thought is just a vibration and it's an arising.
It's actually a very limited function.
Thought is just a vibration.
OK,
It might appear to be taking place inside your head,
But it's just a vibration and it's actually a very low and dense vibration.
But the more energy that you start to put into that by catching the train of thought,
As I like to call it,
The train of thought,
Then you will start to go off and catch that train and it will take you to many train stations,
Many stations.
The more attention that you give thought,
More things of a similar frequency will start to come in.
And in fact,
Actually,
It'll take you on a downward spiral and you'll go to many stations on the train of thought.
And absolutely none of them,
Absolutely none of them are your truth.
So what's actually happening is you give you're basically putting energy into thought process,
A very low vibrational frequency,
And you're pumping,
It's like pumping energy into it and it's taking you to many places,
Hopping about from one place to another,
Judging,
Assessing,
Analysing,
Beating oneself up,
Judging others,
All these kinds of things just by focusing one's attention on that.
So that's why it appears energy follows thought.
But this energy is a very,
Very low vibrational energy.
Now,
So how do we avoid,
Shall we say,
Or deal with that?
Because our conditioning has,
Generally speaking,
Taken us into that space of analysis and judgment and so forth.
And this is why I've been looking at the recognising awareness exercises that come,
That I've been doing in various ways in the prior streams.
And we're going to do that again.
And I'm going to also give you another little exercise to lead into that in a moment.
Indeed,
John,
So John's saying that it can be helpful to recognise that thoughts are not actually our own.
And this is true.
Indeed,
It's very helpful to recognise that.
And indeed,
One thing that you can say there is I am not my thoughts.
So let's start just by looking at some basics in recognising this presence or this awareness.
And I've talked about this several times already,
But it bears endless repetition because this is what self realisation is all about.
So if we take a thought.
Just a moment of stillness.
And we've all experienced that.
And then a thought arises and our thought is a vibration.
So it's like a wave,
You know,
Like a sine wave or a cosine wave or whatever you want to wave you want to call it.
But basically it's an appearance.
It's a wave.
Now,
If you start to put energy by following that with your attention,
Then you're going to get more and more waves and up and down and all sorts going on.
But if we simply recognise that in that moment of stillness,
There was no thought and then thought arose.
A thought arose.
The thought was observed.
It's a vibration.
The thought was observed.
Same is true for any phenomena in the body.
And the thought is a phenomena in the body.
A thought is a thing.
Now,
Let's take an emotion because it's a record,
Very recognisable thing.
A few minutes ago,
You may have been feeling completely fine.
And then suddenly an emotion emerges.
An event has happened and there's a trigger.
And now there's some fear or there's some shame or there's whatever emotion you want to call it is here.
And yet it wasn't there a few months ago.
So it can be seen in the same way.
It can be observed in the same way that a thought can.
And emotions,
As we know,
Can come up to be very intense or they can be less intense and they can completely disappear.
So the question is,
And we'll do an exercise on this in a moment.
What is it?
What is it that sees the appearance in this case of the emotion,
The wave?
Reports it's increasing or decreasing intensity.
And can we also report that the emotion has now gone?
What is it?
That can do that.
So Wendy's put there,
Conscious.
Consciousness.
Yeah.
Starting to get there now.
So it's actually is that it's a function within consciousness.
I refer to it as the silent witness or just witnessing also.
And this presence.
Here's the next question.
And we'll do this as an exercise in a moment,
But just want to point it out this way first.
That which observed.
The emotion.
It's increasing intensity,
It's drop off in intensity,
Maybe change form.
The emotion from one emotion to another.
All of those observations taking place and then it's disappearance.
Excuse me,
Folks.
I'm in strangers.
I just need to sort that out.
I'll be a moment.
Yeah.
That.
Witnessing element.
The silent witness,
As I call it.
But the changing.
Of the changing phenomena.
Is that affected by the phenomena?
Maybe just close your eyes for a moment now.
And I'll take you into the exercise.
So just closing your eyes and bring your attention.
To your body.
Notice that maybe physical sensations.
Breath.
Maybe there is some emotions that.
Maybe this thoughts.
And they're all different phenomena.
Maybe increasing intensity dropping off in intensity.
Changing over time.
And yet.
There's a presence.
That can report that if I was to ask some of you here,
Don't do this,
But if I was to ask you to sort of share what's here for you now,
You could all tell me.
Oh,
There's fear here or there's a strong ache in my left arm or whatever it happened to be.
Everybody could do that.
So just continuing to observe without any judgment.
Any judgment.
The phenomena here,
Whether it's emotions,
Feelings,
Sensations,
Breath.
Just watching.
Just watching.
No judgment.
And no analysis.
So the question I was asking is that which makes the observation.
Of the different phenomena,
Whether it be an emotion.
A sensation or whatever is that which makes the observation,
Not the observation itself,
Is that which makes the observation.
Affected.
By the phenomena.
Is it affected by the phenomena.
Just be with that.
Or does it simply,
Silently observe.
Does it simply,
Silently observe.
What you're going to eventually find is,
Even if you can't see that right now,
That actually it's is untouched by the observation.
It simply watches.
It simply watches.
And is able to report the appearance,
The different phenomena.
This is fundamental.
To self realization and to transmuting fear into love.
And if this isn't,
You're not kind of getting this at the moment,
Don't worry,
It will come.
It will come.
So the question we've been exploring and I'm really going at this very slowly and step by step.
To really unpack this,
Is that which observes the phenomena,
The appearance,
The emotion,
The sensation,
The breath,
Affected by the changing phenomena.
You will eventually see,
Even if you cannot see right now,
That the answer is no.
It is not affected.
And that witnessing presence,
That silent witness,
Is the entry point to the realization of the self.
It's a very simple exercise this.
It's just another version of the who am I exercise I've done in various different ways already on these streams.
This presence,
This witness,
Is the key holder on the entry point to dissolving emotions but also the realization of the self.
So if you want you can open your eyes now and if anybody wants to share anything from that you can do.
And I'll go on to some other some other paintings and then we'll have a look at the actual experience itself.
And I'll just say a quick hello to Jeffrey who's just joined us.
So David is saying he's obviously spotted that it remains untouched,
Unmoved,
Silent and free.
Exactly.
And I even use the word unblemished in the meditation.
And the recognition of that is absolutely fundamental to the realization of the self.
Because from here on in,
And it's no joke here folks,
Once that is recognized and seen and starts to be trusted,
You'll find that we move to the unform,
The highest form of trust which is not having to trust at all.
It becomes the realization.
That's why it's unrecognized,
John says.
Yeah that's true.
That's also why.
Because it's not moving around.
Everything else is a changing phenomena in life.
Everything else is a changing phenomena.
And we miss the blindingly obvious that which is untouched,
Unmoved,
Unblemished,
Always remaining silent,
Still,
Free,
Essence.
And that's why it's so easily missed.
It's like you can't see the wood for the trees.
It is right there,
Right now,
Always has been,
Always will be,
Never will there be a time it's not there.
And 99% of the population of the planet misses it.
And what we've just done there in that very,
Very simple exercise is start to open to recognizing it.
So I hope that's been useful for you.
So if anybody else wants to ask anything about that,
You can do.
From this point,
Even if you've not necessarily spotted,
It's not been spotted there yet.
In fact,
This is the entry point to the realization.
Just be open to that possibility.
Just be open to that possibility.
Because from this space,
Thought cannot heal your pain,
Presence will transform it.
That not only will the emotional body be dissolved and we bring an end to suffering,
The realization of the self as infinite consciousness,
Infinite awareness or infinite silence will flow and flower.
This is really self-realization in a nutshell.
Really,
It is profoundly simple.
Only mind will try to complicate it.
And the key thing,
Both in the process of transmuting fear into love and ultimately the realization of the self as infinite consciousness,
Infinite awareness.
What I'm going to say is very important here.
Ultimately,
It is effortless.
And this might sound a bit strange what I'm about to say here,
But I'll unpack it further for you.
Not only is it effortless,
Actually,
There's nothing you can do about it.
It's in the trying to,
Striving,
The reaching that we push it away.
And so the question that emerges here is,
What is the purpose of spiritual practice?
And the purpose of spiritual practice is so you don't have to.
Let me say that again.
The purpose of all spiritual practice is so you don't have to.
Don't have to practice at being who you really are.
So spiritual practice,
Formally,
When we sit down and meditate,
When we first start to meditate,
It feels like a doing.
But eventually,
As one deepens into meditation,
It becomes a completely effortless thing.
And there's no doing there.
There's no doing.
And in that space,
It's that effortless essence,
That effortless space is where the realisation flowers.
So meditation as a practice,
As a practical thing that you sit down or lie down and do,
Starts off as a practice and ends as a realisation.
And this is central to the realisation of the self.
Let me just have a look at what Ruth did.
I do get this,
At least intellectually.
When triggers happen,
I am still liable to fall back to old patterns.
Yeah,
That's quite common.
Ruth,
In fact,
Is incredibly common when triggers arise.
But when we can start to recognise,
Ah,
A trigger has arisen.
It wasn't there a moment ago and it was witnessed unobserved.
Then we can,
The more quickly that we can see that and practice just being with what has arisen,
The emotion,
The trigger,
And simply allowing it to be there,
Feeling it fully without any judgement,
The more quickly we will not go dive deep into the pattern,
The emotion,
But rather let it be seen from the space of awareness,
Non-judgmentally felt fully,
A kind of moving through it.
That effortlessly will eventually be seen.
It will just simply fall away.
So the trick here is to kind of catch ourselves the instant a phenomena arises,
An emotion arises,
Watch it,
Feel it,
Witness it and watch it just disappear effortlessly.
And it will,
At first,
It will seem like it takes practice.
But as one becomes,
Shall we say,
Practiced at it,
One can get on with the dishes,
So to speak,
Let this happen and remain as untouched awareness.
And the process will continue effortlessly in the background.
So we're moving from effortfulness to effortlessness.
And I call this effortless grace.
Effortless grace.
The whole reason and the whole purpose behind your meditation practice and all the stuff here that's on Insight Dharma is to move you from that space of effort to the effortless space,
The essence that you are.
That's all.
And it will be seen that that which you are seeking is,
In fact,
That which you already are.
So I spent quite a bit of time unpacking that,
Pointing out something that ultimately is incredibly obvious.
Mind might be grasping around,
But ultimately.
What we're going to see is that that which we've been looking for is,
In fact,
That which we are and it's this untouched,
It's this untouched awareness.
Ultimately,
So simple.
So simple,
Mind will try to persuade you.
It can't be that simple.
When,
In fact,
It is.
It really is.
It's beyond even the concept of simple,
Ultimately.
So this really is absolutely and utterly fundamental.
So although I'm entitling this process and this stream tonight,
Transputing Fear into Love,
It's actually central to the whole self-realisation journey.
That's how it is.
But looking specifically at emotions,
And I'm going to do a whole guided exercise with it in a moment.
Just a few pointers as you start to practise with this,
And then we'll be using the Infinite Silence Meditation.
There are seven versions of it on Insight Timer from quarter of an hour fully guided to a full one and a half hours in increments.
Same guidance,
But just bigger steps.
One element of this Infinite Silence Meditation,
Which is about you recognising this awareness,
Is it can be used to help dissolve the emotional body and move through the challenges of life.
So that's the part we're focusing on tonight.
So it is multifaceted,
Multipurpose,
Multilayered,
Multidimensional,
This meditation,
Because it arose and comes from that same space of awareness that you already are.
But specifically when we're dealing with emotions and triggers that have arisen and appear troublesome,
A few things,
Just a few pointers for what you will experience at first as a process.
Key thing,
Which really relates to Ruth's comment there,
Is to stop.
Don't start analysing,
In other words,
Don't start going into thought energy,
But stop.
Recognise something has happened,
Something has emerged,
And that witnessing presence has observed it.
Allow.
Do not run away,
Do not fight,
Do not freeze.
Do not fight,
Flight or freeze,
Just simply accept that it's here.
Face it head on,
Face it head on and trust in the power of that untouched awareness.
Trust in that and that trust will eventually become the knowing.
And in this space,
The miracle,
The dissolution of the old patterns,
The emotions,
Will simply and naturally occur without any effort on your part,
Because it's like shining the light of awareness on the emotional body and the identity and the belief systems.
And that is only going to have one effect,
It will basically transmute,
It will dissolve.
All that is not that and bring it back to silence.
On one of the earlier streams I talked about,
Sound will always return to silence.
Sound is a vibration,
Emotions are also vibrations,
And they will naturally return to the vibration-less,
The essence,
The stillness,
Just by allowing this process to happen and the power of awareness will,
Should we say,
Do all the work.
And it will ultimately be effortless.
Well,
Tracy's saying we'll take great practice for the temperamental,
And I'm sure there's some truth in that Tracy,
But everybody can get this,
Because ultimately everybody is this.
It may take some practice and some time and focusing on this,
But this is where the practice of meditation comes in,
Because the more one practices an awareness-based meditation,
Like the infinite silence meditation,
The more one will naturally be in this space,
As this space,
As this awareness,
And the less one is likely to be up and down,
Emotionally,
Energetically speaking.
Because that experience,
Being up and down,
Is basically coming from going with the train of thought,
Going with the beliefs.
That's why that happens,
And that's why it feels very challenging.
It's definitely very challenging.
I've helped a lot of people in very difficult,
Challenging situations move through this.
So just a reminder,
Stop,
Allow,
Face it head on,
Feel it fully,
Witness the phenomena,
Trust the awareness,
The miracle unfolds,
Like this,
Like this.
Simple,
Ultimately,
Even if it doesn't feel like it at first.
So unless there's any burning questions right now,
What I'd like to do is to take you into the infinite silence meditation,
But this time I'll do it in a way,
The normal way,
But I'll do it in a way to help you to witness whatever's present,
And maybe there's some emotions here for some of you right now,
Or that there's some stuff that needs to be dissolved.
One other point about this is that this will always work in whatever's the highest priority for you right now.
It doesn't need to be analysed.
You can simply trust the awareness,
And it may be that insights arise in this process,
And they'll do so naturally.
It may be that other people connected with whatever's going on emotionally,
Energetically for you,
Emerge in visuals or memory or whatever in this process.
Allow them to be there.
It may be the younger you is seeing.
Simply allow that to be there.
All of it,
All the people,
Places,
Things,
We're going to allow it to be embraced with what I call the silence of the heart space.
And I don't just mean your physical heart.
I mean the heart space of silence.
So let's go for it.
Let's go with the infinite silence meditation,
But in the context of transmuting fear into love.
And whatever's here for you now,
Even though there's nothing here now,
Just go with this.
Because the minimum here is about recognising awareness.
So if you want to get yourselves comfortable,
Whether you're going to sit down or lie down,
And simply close your eyes.
I like we did a few moments ago.
Firstly,
Just recognising the phenomena in your body.
Sensations.
Maybe there are some emotions.
Breath.
And simply,
Silently,
Accepting fully whatever phenomena are here now.
No judgement.
And if there are emotions here,
Just let them be.
Let them be felt fully.
And watched.
Witnessed.
And just as you silently witness,
Just be open from your heart.
To what I call the energy of the spheres.
Or spheres of light.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to visualise.
Just be open.
This energy of the spheres,
Or spheres of light,
Is the pure state.
I am.
I am.
Pure being.
And even this I am-ness can be witnessed.
Observed.
Even if it's quite subtle for you.
And the seeing of the I am-ness,
The other phenomena,
Is from the space of the silent witness.
That is untouched.
And even this silent witness,
Now,
Is melting like a sliver of ice in an ocean of water.
Dissolving.
Melting effortlessly.
Silently.
Becoming one with the water.
And the water is an ocean of infinite awareness.
Infinite silence.
Pure witnessing presence.
Resting in this.
As this.
Untouched.
Unmoved.
Unblemished.
Essence.
And if there are any emotions,
Issues here now,
Just watch.
Just accept.
Feel fully.
No judgement.
No analysis.
Just watch.
Feel.
Trust only.
The witnessing presence.
Nothing else.
Just that.
Being open to the truth that you are this untouched awareness.
And the phenomena may come,
May go,
But you remain always this.
Any emotion is touched from the inside.
Effortlessly.
Silently.
The power of this awareness dissolves.
Melts.
Transforms.
Anything that no longer serves you.
No effort required.
Be still.
And know.
Just this awareness.
Emotions.
Sensations.
May still be here.
Just watching.
Feeling.
Trusting.
Only the power of awareness.
Nothing to do.
Any people,
Places,
Events.
Just naturally,
Effortlessly,
Embraced from inside.
By the power of this presence that is you.
Remember.
No effort required.
Be still.
And know.
Effortlessly.
Silently.
This awareness,
This infinite silence,
Is seeing,
Transforming,
Dissolving,
Resolving,
Anything that no longer serves you.
In silence.
We trust.
In silence,
You will realize your truth.
In truth,
You will realize.
You are silence.
Infinite silence.
Infinite awareness.
Infinite consciousness.
Turtle and utter freedom.
For you are freedom itself.
All these phenomena.
Energy in the emotional body.
Beliefs.
Are silently,
Effortlessly,
Dissolving.
For this power rests eternally in you.
As you.
The infinite you.
The eternal you.
Everything returns naturally,
Effortlessly,
To silence.
Resting in this,
Through this,
As this,
Eternally.
All phenomena,
Naturally.
Like all vibrations return to silence,
To presence,
To stillness.
And you,
None personally,
Are this,
Now,
And always.
Be still,
And now.
And continuing to rest,
As this.
In a moment,
I'll ring the Ting Sha bells,
Three times.
Ting.
And as the sound of the Ting Sha bells fades away,
Aware of your body,
The chair you're sat in,
Whatever you may be late on.
Aware of the space,
But always,
Remaining rested in,
And as this untouched,
Unblemished,
Infinite awareness,
Infinite silence,
That is ever present.
And whenever the moment is right for you,
If you haven't already done so,
Just opening your eyes.
Namaste.
Good.
Good.
So I'll just see if anybody wants to share anything there,
But just a reminder whilst people are coming to,
From the meditation.
The journey we take,
Meditation journey,
Transmuting fear into love,
Is all about moving from,
Like this point of light,
If you're one of these points of light,
And it appears all the other points of light,
All the other people,
And phenomena in the world are separate from you,
Down the fiber optic filament,
Recognizing the energy of spheres of light,
Or the pure state I am.
This I is an infinite I.
Am equals being.
I am infinite,
I am not personal,
I am infinite,
I am.
And even that can be sensed or witnessed.
And in the metaphor,
That's like the battery,
The power of the universe,
Except actually it's everywhere.
It's not at this specific point,
But everywhere.
Everything in consciousness appears in front,
On the green screen of consciousness,
Just like in the movies.
And that's true of the emotional body.
And all emotions want to do,
When they arise,
Is to be felt,
Seen,
Witnessed,
Dissolved,
And return to silence.
That's meditation,
Self-realization,
Dissolving emotional trauma,
All wrapped into one.
To recognize that unchanging presence,
That unchanging awareness,
That unblemished essence,
Thought cannot heal your pain.
Presence will transform it.
The presence you are seeking is that which you already are.
Always have been,
Always will be.
Like this.
Like this.
Good.
So that is the essence of transmuting fear into love.
That is the essence of spiritual self-realization.
The realization of that which is already here now,
And you are.
Good.
So if anybody wants to ask any questions or share any comments,
Please do so.
I'm very grateful to Insight Timer for allowing me to do these streams.
On behalf of Insight Timer,
Any donations and so forth,
And myself,
They are appreciated.
So thank you for those.
There's been quite a few over the last few streams.
Just in terms of follow-up resources to this stream,
I've gone through a journey,
But on the last,
I think this is stream six in total,
Number four of eleven,
In the 2022 series,
There are some other streams where you can go into greater depth on some of the things I covered.
Albeit slowly,
I covered it in greater depth still in some of the earlier streams.
So,
In fact,
One of the very first stream I did on Insight Timer,
Which was on the 22nd of December.
2021 is entitled What It Means To Go Within.
And what we've done,
Because replays aren't available,
I've had it with the help of a friend,
Edited and put as an audio only file on Insight Timer.
So if you want to explore that journey,
That meditative journey,
What it's all about in greater depth,
Look out for that one on my profile,
What it means to go within.
And I think Jolene,
A friend of mine,
Is going to post some links shortly to give you those.
But there are also,
And the other resources I'm going to mention,
There's a group that I've set up because somebody asked me about a group.
So I've set it up.
It's on a trial basis to see if there's enough interest.
It's called Nothing Special.
Nothing Special with an exclamation mark after the word special.
And what that is a sacred space,
But will share the recordings of the live streams in audio only format.
But they'll also be on my profile on Insight Timer.
So one of the first posts,
In fact,
It might be the very first post in the group,
The Nothing Special group,
Is what it means to go within.
If you want to explore that whole meditative journey process more fully,
That's the stream to watch.
And then the other two I've drawn out,
Which I think I've also put in the group and are also on my timeline now,
They've just been approved as audio onlys of the live streams,
Is one called Who Am I?
The Key Spiritual Inquiry.
Who am I?
So if you want to kind of explore that,
Identifying,
Recognizing that witnessing presence,
Look out for that one.
And then finally,
Also,
For further exploration,
The third stream was A Journey to Silence,
A Journey to Silence.
And that's also now available in audio only format on Insight Timer and within the Nothing Special group.
So look out for those.
And then on my timeline on Insight Timer,
As I mentioned earlier,
There are seven different versions of the Infinite Silence Meditation.
The only difference is the duration of the Infinite Silence Meditation from the quarter of an hour fully guided,
A really kind of full guided exploration of recognizing awareness.
So it's pretty much no gaps in that one,
Just max guidance,
I've called it,
Through to an hour and a half long in steps,
In increments.
And the idea is that you start maybe at the quarter of an hour or the next one,
Which is 22 minutes,
I think,
And then there's 29,
Become familiar with that,
What will appear to you as a process of recognizing awareness.
And then eventually use the longer and longer versions over seven days,
Seven weeks,
Seven months,
Whatever.
Eventually,
You'll be able to just do that instantly,
Anytime,
Any place,
Anywhere.
This meditation,
As I've explained many times,
Didn't come from here,
It emerged from the realization and it is very powerful.
So look out for the group,
Nothing Special!
Or On My Timeline or both for those resources.
As I've said already,
The key to this thought cannot heal your pain.
Presence will transform it.
That simple.
And you are the presence,
The infinite silence,
The infinite awareness,
The infinite consciousness.
So if you want to ask any questions you can do,
Whilst I'm just checking on that,
Just also to point out the next session in this series,
Number five of eleven,
Is based on spiritual inquiry.
I can't remember what the precise title of called it,
But it's something like Life's Questions or something like that.
And the practice of meditation in parallel with spiritual inquiry,
Which fundamentally comes down to the question,
Who am I?
Really,
Who am I?
These two come together to integrate your meditation journey and open to the space of self realization.
So that's the next one.
That's the next stream.
That's this Saturday.
Whatever date that is,
This Saturday 8 p.
M.
UK time.
Spiritual inquiry.
I'll be exploring the nature of spiritual inquiry and how you can use that to help come to realization,
Awareness and resolution of the issues that arise for you.
But also it's an opportunity to ask your spiritual questions.
So if you want to ask those live on the stream,
You can do.
Similarly,
If you want to lodge them in advance,
You can put them in the group as a post and I will pick up on those.
15th of January,
Thanks Jolene,
Is the next session.
8 p.
M.
UK time.
Check your local time at timeanddate.
Com.
Spiritual inquiry is a fundamental element in the journey of self realization,
Being able to embrace that.
So that's what that next stream is dedicated to.
And then there are several others about trust,
Being on the right path.
Another one focused on emotions and blocks,
Relationships,
What those really are and how important they are in the self realization journey.
Condoleeing,
Awakening,
Something that there's a lot of misunderstanding about and making life a meditation is the final one of the 11.
There may be more depending on interest levels.
So that's everything.
So if anybody wants to ask any questions,
You can do.
But whilst I'm waiting,
I think what I'll do is I'll give you some more.
A little bit of harp,
A beautiful track,
Which we'll just get going in a minute.
This one.
Is a beautiful track.
I've played it a few times,
Actually,
It's called Hearts Song,
Hearts Song.
By my friend Tara Cook.
So enjoy this and I'll keep an eye on any comments or questions before we close the stream.
Sorry,
I'm going to make it not work.
Right,
Here it goes.
Thank you,
Lee.
Thank you,
Ari,
For the donation.
This is called Hearts Song.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
So that was Hearts Song by my friend Tara Cook.
Very beautiful track.
In fact,
All of the harp tracks are played by her.
As I say,
Follow up resources I mentioned earlier,
I can see some donations have come in.
So thank you very much to Ari.
Thank you from Turkey,
Says AJ.
Thank you from David,
Tracy,
Stefan,
Joe,
Lee and Joyce.
Thank you for joining us.
If you want to join the group,
You can do it.
It's now a public group.
It's called Nothing Special exclamation mark.
You can lodge questions there and I'll also put the recordings of the streams there in Audio version,
But they'll also be available on my timeline.
I also said last time that I would update a short audio called Natural or Normal.
And I uploaded that today,
So it'll probably take a few days.
It's about five or six minutes long.
It sits alongside my most watched or played audio on Insight Timer,
Which is called Trusting and Daring Not To,
Which had a profound impact on a lot of people.
So it's just another exploration of that,
Natural or Normal.
So that should be live in the next day or so.
And I think there's some other tracks come live in the last day or two as well.
So I don't see any burning questions at the moment,
So I'll probably start to get ready to close the stream shortly.
Thank you so much for being here.
I think we've got about 85 people,
It says in tiny print at the bottom there.
So thank you wherever you are in the world.
We have people from all points in the north and south hemisphere by the looks of it.
Thank you,
Cynthia.
So as I say,
Next stream is on Saturday,
15th of January,
And that's about spiritual inquiry.
So you can bring your questions along or you can lodge some in the group,
But I'll explore what spiritual inquiry is,
How it fits with the meditative journey and how you can use that along with meditation.
To open yourself up to the realisation of the self.
You're here for this,
Not just tonight,
But in this life.
Your whole raison d'etre is to be here for this and you don't need to believe me on that.
So I'll say thank you one more time for joining us.
I'll leave a little bit of heart to play us out and then I'll close the stream.
So thank you very much everybody.

When I tried to see beyond, the egoic mind made me feel and think that 'I can't grasp beyond it' is like an intense feeling saying is too hard and painful 😱 to understand 🤷🏻♂️. The egoic mind running out of tricks 😉😆😂. I will keep moving forward and I know I will realize the truth ✨ without a doubt 😆. Thank you again, Philip. 🙏✨🌟✨🙏
