From where does eternal peace arise?
Does it arise from a thought,
An event,
A happy set of circumstances?
Now that can't be right can it because they change.
Events are always changing thoughts,
Always changing circumstances are always changing.
So eternal peace,
Lasting peace,
Eternal stillness can't be from the outside can it?
It must be from within,
From that which is unchanging,
Unmoving,
Unseen.
And what is that?
This that remains unchanging,
Unseen,
Still.
You know what that is?
That's awareness.
Awareness,
Just awareness.
This awareness is that which you already are.
It's simply aware and witness to all phenomena,
Whether they be thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions,
Sensations or even the state I am.
Awareness sees all this and is untouched and unmoved by it.
It's simply a pure witnessing,
A pure noticing or a pure observing without any judgement or need for anything to be different from how it's appearing right now.
It's just simply okay,
Totally accepting,
Not condoning,
Just accepting what is here.
Now,
The natural perfume or perfumes of this awareness are peace,
Joy,
Love,
Gratitude,
Grace.
When one of these is present,
They are all present.
Gratitude for life as life is also peace,
Stillness,
Awareness,
Love.
Just grateful for what is.
The experience of life experiences itself as life.
We say maybe often we'd like peace in the world,
But world peace surely begins with inner peace.
That makes sense,
Doesn't it?
World peace begins with inner peace.
From where does peace arise but from within?
