Namaste everybody,
Namaste.
So today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about trust and some while ago I was actually helping somebody and we got to the point in the conversation where it was clear that their heart was calling them in a particular direction,
A deep invitation and opportunity for more joy and expression in their life and they said,
Trust in this quiet simple truth I see,
But dare I trust it.
And the immediate response that emerged from the silence within was this,
Dare not to trust and you will suffer.
Let me say that again,
Dare not to trust and you will suffer.
You see that's actually quite a profound insight that's been offered there for it stops the ego mind's meanderings in its tracks because had you thought of it in this way,
Actually not trusting your heart is a dare.
Going with the mind in other words is a dare in itself,
That's the dare and actually going with the heart makes the process of trusting simpler.
So going with the heart isn't actually the leap of faith,
The courage and so forth that it seems to be,
It makes the process simpler because the heart sees a much bigger picture than the limited and narrow view of that which we call our minds.
And it is because we've been listening to what's going on up in our heads for most of our lives conditioned into doing that,
That we arrive at points in our life where there's suffering,
We're struggling with emotions,
There's strife,
Trouble,
Stress and so forth and it's because we're listening to the head rather than the heart.
And life itself then becomes a struggle but if we were to turn it round and seeing daring not to trust the heart is actually the dare and trusting the heart is the deep invitation to joy,
To freedom,
To liberation,
Then we can make the process of trusting simpler.
Now because we've been conditioned into going with the head for so long it is possible that blocks to that will come up,
Emotions,
Fears and so forth but if you can witness that,
See that from the space of the awareness,
The silence within,
That will dissolve and so the whole process of going with the heart starts to get easier and the process becomes simpler and we start to be more true to ourselves,
Live more authentically,
Who I really am,
More aligned to our purpose and so life starts to flow more gracefully,
More easily as a result and it eventually comes to the space where we move towards what I call the highest form of trust and the highest form of trust interestingly is not having to trust at all.
Yes,
Not having to trust at all.
It basically becomes a knowing,
A realising,
Yes that this is the direction my heart is calling me to.
I just know that this is the direction I need to go on.
So if you listen,
That calling is always there.
If we're prepared to stop,
To look and to listen to what our heart is saying.
So back to the title of this video,
Trusting and daring not to.
Will we trust our hearts or will we dare to trust the mind?
The choice now becomes simpler.
Go with the heart.
It's inviting you to a deeper joy and expression of your life.
