In our busy lives, it is easy to become trapped in our past story or the uncertainty of the future. The present moment always offers us the key to liberate ourselves and is the ultimate foundation to create wellbeing and a better life. In this short practice, Ian Tucker invites you to spend time with him as he gently guides you through and reminds you that now, this moment, is all that there is.

Hello,

My name is Ian Tucker.

Welcome to this guided practice to bring you peace and inner calm.

Science,

Philosophy and common sense all tell us that the more we can accept and be present in each moment,

The better our lives will be.

And as a result,

Modern day challenges such as anxiety,

Worry and stress will loosen their grip on us.

I've come to know that everything in life is temporary.

Things come and things go.

Our thoughts are exactly the same.

They come and they go.

We simply have to decide how long we hold on to them.

So here's my invitation to you.

Give yourself this moment.

Allow yourself to spend just a few minutes with me here and now.

As I guide you through this short practice,

Thoughts will come and that's okay.

Be kind and remind yourself that each thought is temporary.

And allow yourself to return back to my voice or the music and our time spent here together.

In preparation,

I would ask you to sit or lie down to become comfortable.

And to begin,

Just gently focus on your breathing.

Your breathing should be slightly deeper than normal,

But always comfortable.

As the music starts,

I invite you to give yourself this moment.

Continue to focus on your breathing.

Breathe in the energy of this practice.

Breathe out what no longer serves you.

Focus on your breathing.

Give yourself this moment.

This time spent together.

Breathe in the energy of this practice.

Breathe out what no longer serves you.

All is well.

Give yourself this moment.

Allow yourself to accept that everything is temporary.

Things come and things go.

Allow yourself to accept that thoughts are temporary.

Thoughts come and thoughts go.

This moment,

This time spent together,

Is all that is real.

Give yourself this moment.

Allow yourself to spend time in this moment.

Relax in this moment.

Know that all is well in this moment.

Everything else is temporary.

Give yourself this moment.

And now,

As the music begins to fade,

I would like to say thank you for allowing us to spend this time together.

This moment together.

Relax,

Safe in the knowledge that you can return to this recording at any time.

This really help me , as I just passed the date of the first year of my brothers death and have my mums date on the 30th ( 1st year ) , I am trying to think of the happy times but it’s first thing in the morning πŸŒ… I wake up with pain in my heart and going back over the ending of both my brother and my mum , I cry and then look for ameditation to help me move my thoughts and move the pain in my heart . Which this did help me . I will get up now and go outside and Carry on with gardening as that is helping me first thing in the morning. Grief and pain is a strange feeling and I know we are all going to pass for me it’s pain your love ones go through that isn’t nice . But now my thoughts are on the funny times at this moment πŸ™
