This guided meditation is for you if you would like to have a mini break from when you want to switch from one task to another,
Or from one project to another,
And you want to step into it with fresh energy.
You might want to wear headphones for this meditation.
Now,
When you're sitting or laying down,
Take a moment to pause,
Close your eyes,
Or simply soften your gaze.
Take a slow but deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale through your mouth.
And as you breathe out,
You might want to breathe out as if you're breathing out through a straw,
Through thinly pursed lips,
To make your exhale longer than your inhale,
Which might calm the nervous system.
Breathing in through your nose,
Out through your mouth,
As if you're breathing out through a straw,
Through thinly pursed lips.
You might want to follow this rhythm for the rest of the meditation,
Or you can simply relax your breathing.
Let your shoulders drop even further,
Unclench your jaw.
You don't need to do anything right now.
And just bring your awareness to your body.
Notice if there is any place where you might be holding tension.
With your next exhale,
Imagine releasing it,
As if your body is softening,
Unwinding,
Breathing in,
Creating space,
Breathing out,
Letting go.
Now,
You might want to think of a moment where you felt fully in charge,
Connected,
Connected.
Where were you?
How did it feel in your body?
What helped you feel confident and connected in that moment?
And I wonder how it could be if you would imagine taking this feeling with you when you are working on your next project or task.
Perhaps you can see yourself returning to it,
Calm,
Clear,
Focused.
There's no rush.
You move with intention.
Let that feeling land in your body.
And if that feeling of feeling focused,
Feeling capable,
Would have a color,
Which color would it be?
Now imagine this color filling up your whole body.
Take a deep breath in.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Become aware of the temperature in the room.
Notice three sounds that you're hearing.
Two things that you can feel.
One thing that you can smell right now.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes,
Taking this feeling of calm,
Focused energy with you throughout the rest of the day.
